Yep. The Wholesale Auto valvebody is nothing more than a $130 shift kit that they install and liberate you of $1400 more dollars. Get the transgo kit, new valve body gaskets do the work yourself and it is the same thing. The torque converter is a nice addition, they bend the fins to give you a little more torque, but I don't find that to be the problem with my current setup.
The difference between the Supra setup and a wholesale valve body is HUGE! ATF Speed uses a new billet sprag, billet accumulators, new clutches and steels both are upgrades for this power level and they do the valve body work.
In @NLXTACY 's situation it is just time for a rebuild. You can only increase the clamping force so much when you have clutches and steels that are worn. Going to a new OEM with shift kit would be a huge change even to a trans with a shift kit and 335k.
