I did have. I ran 285s and then 305s and (for a very short time) 315s. The 285s and 305s seemed to preform identically...as they are nearly the same height. I liked to look of the wider 305, for sure.

Just noticed the 295/75. May check it as an option between 305 & 315....

I have the AT II on my 100...love them...wish I had the extreme.

Tech: dont do this although it totally removes the bow in the springs ;)

Ummm.....

I got nothing for that.

That's going to be killer. Can't wait to see the finished project, @geologic

I had the 4l60 in my 1968. It was plenty adequate. My engine was making around 380 hp

4L60 adaptor doesn't line up either. 6L80 is supposed to but requires another trans computer when used with an earlier engine

It will go, and make a nice swap but good bit of rengineering will have to take place, tcase moves, shafts lengthened/ shortened, weld in not bolt in mounts, custom adapter plate to move the high low shifter forward, kit from Summit to mate the cable shift 4l80e to factory shift lever, its interesting, Mark's recommends the 4l80e swap though, they say this is their normal routine and that nothing new is coming!

Check with TLC 4x4 to see if they have anything for the 80. They have several things for the 60 that make it easier, but you have to call. Its not on the website.

Venable for sure.
