3FE go with 1FZ wo

Yeah, the bigger FZJ rotors drop right on, calipers will bolt right on, just have to trim or replace the backing plate. Rotors are over an in larger diameter and about a half inch thicker. Only difference is the birfs are longer to accommodate the ads ring, makes the stub about 3/8" longer, which moves the groove out, which is why the flanges are different. you can use either Era as spares for the other as long as you have the matching flange.

Or go with manual hubs.

;)

On the list, but mine will probably be from a mini truck instead of having fancy gold dials.

I've got a buddy in Brookhaven looking for an 80. He says he doesn't want one that is overly built. No more than a 2" lift, and no bigger than 33" tires. He sounds like he'd be perfectly happy for a bone stock one too. Price point is anything under $10k. The lower miles, the better.

Post one if you find something fitting that description. I told him that for $10k, he could probably buy just about anything he came across.

What's the price? That's Jeff's old 450, right?

I've had a pretty good leak on the PS of my 80 for a while. Think I've got it narrowed down to the windshield gasket. According to the 80 series forum, this is a common problem. Apparently there is a documented process in the FSM for properly sealing the gasket and few shops adhere to it.

Anyone have experience with this and possibly have a contact that can/will do this properly? I suppose the first course of action is to source a new OEM casket. Oh @beno...

I hope he gets it, but damn, $7k. I paid $2400 for my 92 a month ago with 156k on the clock.
