RCV warranty transferred to new owner?

Anyone interested in the Superset?

@Land Speeder does the FrankenDigger need these? I'd like to have them, but I got several dollars committed to some other parts. That said, I will talk to the boss.

Oh if it doesn't need em' it's gonna!

I need some help :-/

Took the Cruizah out for abusing at HSORVP this weekend, and it had a sputter / heavy surge issue, especially in reverse. I put on two new belts for the alternator and removed the AC belt, but I don't think that caused it. Thought maybe it's water in the gas from ethanol, but why would it affect reverse more so than drive if that's the case? @Bossman suggest I check the wiring harness between the firewall and the valve cover for heat-related issues, so you know Ima heed that advice. I also noticed two sensors under the intake manifold were disconnected. Looks like something related to EGR, and who knows how long they've been unplugged. This is a durty truck from Floor-I-Duh.

Second issue is that I broke a steering stud on the passenger knuckle. Dropped off of Bailie's Biggest Boulder in a very uncontrolled manner (sputtering in reverse...), and it was violent. I have a feeling the arm was loose as it broke the stud off leaving only threads in the knuckle. Also, it has almost always been loose before or after a ride. Even after tightening studs up into the knuckle, it still comes loose. Who makes the best steering studs for these 80s. FROR is the go-to source for ARP studs for mini-trucks. Same for 80s? I know these are upgraded studs because they have a Torx at the tip.

Thanks in advance, Cruizer peeps!

I second Bomar. I had to temporarily fix mine with duct tape. Temporary turned to permanently as I sold the truck with duct tape.

Sometimes the main air intake hose is cracked and can cause issues.

Knuckle studs are notorious for working themselves loose. Once they get grease or gear oil or both you have to keep tightening them. I believe the knuckle studs may be the same on the mini as the 80. I put ARPs from FROR on the mini truck axles i have on the zuk. They are six shooter knuckles though. The stock knuckle studs also work themselves loose, that is why i like the ARPs . Then can be torqued easily because of their design. Was worth the upgrade.

Bailie's...that little section of trail must hate 80's. That's exactly where Bessie's knuckle gave up the ghost at Crawl last year.

To locktite or not to locktite knuckle and/or hub studs. I used it on all the studs on my 40, albeit blue, but Jrob told me I was an idiot.

And use brake clean or carb clean to degrease before you do. Yes, it will be a total B to get them out if you break one but keeping them tight is half the battle.

That's why I love the parts washer. They come out looking purdy.

Green was done because lime green and black are shop colors also I wanted a light color so if the inner seals start leaking I can catch it quick before it washes the grease out of my birfs.

You keep the nuts tight and you won't have to worry about broken studs...

Not sure why I didn't get notified that you hollered at me on this... Both my rigs got Longs. But if folks is giving things away, I'll tak'em.
