so how's this working out? Did you get any work done to the rig over the holiday?
what's the latest?

Not yet. I'm actually headed to buy a second get around town car this morning and am moving into a new place this coming week. I did get the chargeback to happen from US Bank in addition to MasterCard previously. I texted the guy who did this and told him I would drop off the springs and shocks when they are out since I'm going to redo the lift from scratch when they are out. I'm also pretty slammed with work this month, so, its progressing, but I'm likely not to get started on it until later this month or possibly Feb.

This is what you get when you "shop around" and beat shops down for the best pricing. You would of been much better off taking it to a reputable shop that has a good reputation, even at 2x as much. Good work takes time and time is money. I am not trying to add insult to injury but trying to issue a warning to others looking for cheap mechanic work.

Take photos before you do anything. Have someone knowledgeable document what he did incorrectly and unnecessarily. Get an attorney to make him pay for anything required to get the truck back to what it was before he worked on it. Once you have accomplished all of that, hire Slee or someone else we all know and trust to do the work correctly.

Holy Sheep shirt, unf***ing believable, the work that guy put into doing the abortionnated lift, tell us the truth you took it to TJ and had that work done. :bang: I cannot believe you did wreck it, or more things falling of, was there banjo music being played at that shop/abortion clinic. I am glad you got some traction on your refund and hopefully you have it done by a mechanic, who knows his stuff and not the Dr Kevorkian guy you used before

I looked at a truck locally for sale up here in Durango. After reading this I suspect it may have visited the same group of "engineers" trying to fix what ain't broke. Well now it is.

Front had springs from another vehicle. Not sure what, but he inner diameter was too small to even make it to the top of he upper spring bucket/cone. Bottom welded on.

Rear had a sweet set of dual rate coils installed and a similar bucket re-engineer.

This was only the beginning of what was wrong with this truck. Had NM plates, owner said he got it out of Albuquerque. @cruiserdan probably built this :)

Wow - that is one "custom" LSPV arm too. Some fool probably was impressed with the springs too, right?

If one spring is good, 2 a side MUST be better!

Did you call out the guy on this? If so, did he mention having a slip & paying for it, or was this his personal creation/Frankenstein job?

Nice work! It's often all about the details, like the caster correction, F panhard drop, the carefully bent R panhard,,, full custom!

Sorry about your head gasket......

Where did I put my voodoo doll 80 and railroad spikes?
