For me? I have really weak hands so I hardly ever break taps, drill, bolts, wrenches etc. Part of the reason I'm such a big fan of anti seize compound, stainless steel bolts/nuts and loctite in the right places.

Thanks everyone. Ugh not sure what happened but they did come out easily. New ones Installed. Now, struggling with these manifold bolts. I think I might get a kit from SOR. Tried making my own combo from the auto parts store/Lowe’s, The recessed slot for the intake manifold is really small, standard washers do not fit, lock washer is to small to overlap on the exhaust manifold lol. Frustrating but it’s looking goodt

Well, finally got to my steering gearbox rebuild. I’ve got the seals and gasket for almost 2 years. In taking apart the gear drive I apparently mangled one of my bearings. I couldn’t see it caked in all the packing grease 🤦🏻‍♂️. It’s proving difficult to find a part number # this is the thing I’ve come close to on SOR them 19, could it really be almost $50?

Man I am struggling to find this bolt size and thread. I know I can order it but I’m trying to pick one up from the hardware store.

So you have the spring hanger then your shackle pin and your “retainer bolts”. Any idea what size those are?! I should have brought one with me but was in a hurry when I left the house for work.

I believe the part number is 91611-40820 for the fixed pin into the hanger, right? That is the part number for my 1980 fixed pin bolt

40820 =
4 = tensile strength
08 = thread diameter
20 = thread length under head 20mm

I just used Overland Metric database and 91611-60830 = M8x30HISW6TYZN
Wonder if it is M6 you need at 20 MM

Thanks! I did find that part number also but didn’t know what those number meant 😬

Ok front axle is stripped, coated in POR-15 new OME springs, anti inversion shackles, greaseable pins, new ubolts minus the extra long one on the passenger side. Not sure how that got messed up. And my front bilstein shocks which I got with the springs from FB marketplace must have been for a 2” lift because I only have 4” of up travel without the body on 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did you measure the distance between the bump stop and axle?
