Engine harness finished.

Main power to fuse panel finished.

Power to engine harness done.

Charging system done.

Next task is headlights, running lights, and neutral safety captured from the Lokar controls.

The crimpers really do a professional looking job.

Man, that is good looking wiring. Pleasure to see someone take pride in their work.

I'm also using the Weather-pak stuff, but only in the rear harness I'm replacing on my 2/71. What are you using the 6-pin 'junction' Weather-pak on the firewall for? I have one of those I got as a sample from Waytek Wire. I was planning to use it for a low current junction box feed from my aux fuse box...

Yesterday was the day we decided to try turning the key. Greg came down with a friend who used to build some award-winning hotrods. (Thanks again Tim!!) We figured we'd spend half a day picking his brain and going over everything one more time.

The 6 pin junction is actually housing fuses for the engine harness. All other weatherpak connections are in the rear harness as well.

Gotta love this shot. Greg getting ready to turn the key, nestled comfortably in his high-tech suspension seat.:flipoff2:

Had to top off the power steering fluid, radiator, and add a gallon of transmission fluid to fill all the coolers.

The old girl moves under her own power now.....

Thanks Dom, and thanks for all you help. I need to shoot you a PM regarding the timing on these engines as well.

WOW that Cruiser puts my build to shame. You have done a GREAT job. Keep up the GREAT work. I can't wait to see the finished project.

Jim,

Are you going to build a track bar for the rear end since you rotated the rear springs 180 degrees? I have essentially the same engine and drive train and am about to rotate my springs to get the additional wheel base. I am concerned with axle wrap.

Very nice work.:bounce:

Cheers,

Jeff

I had not thought too much about that concern, but Greg is known to occasionally light the tires up. I guess we'll see what happens on break-in.

Rat tail!!!

Nice Cruiser, but that Rat tail seals the deal!!

fullhouse, are you from here? Your posts about everything costing to much to build is just weird. Are you just trying to pimp your links in your sig?

Jeremy

Just got through your build, very nicely done. I will echo the wrap bar though. I have the same lift with a similar motor and even with all the leaves in the pack managed to wrap enough to break the pinion. When you get it on the road please report back on the ride, it's been almost 10 years and the rear springs are a still bit rough.

Definately a nice build.
