Sing'en the body panel blues. Starboard fender apron (Passenger) is refusing to cooperate. Sizable gap between the cowl and apron. Third pic is the Port side (drivers). Lines up nicely but, I don't recollect it being quite that bad during the disassembly process. Last pic shows hood to fender orientation on the Starboard fender. Having no particular skill in the metallurgical arts per say, I can only surmise that I'll need to loosen the entire front end and finagle "something close"? At the risk of being flooded with tales of "Wanton seals", "Unnatural acts for new parts" and "Over medication" I'll risk advice from the distinguished forum....

Jeff, that's a typical problem with reassembly, just massage the parts back in place as you have surmised.

man everything will be OK.

as you have surmised.

Was hoping someone would offer a semi-used can of PFM.

Yea, I know you are right Mike but, I don't gotta like it none..:D

Start with the bib hinge? Take off the Aprons?

Just loosen all the offending parts and realign as needed and tighten bolts.

Doing some early evening reviews on OME spring installation(s). Did you run into any issues on your rear springs? I may be able to finally, eight months past my official overconfident and under-experienced boast, start on the spring swap....

and sympathy can be found between Sh*t and Syphilis in the dictionary (and not anywhere around here).

I think the Japanese used Ouija boards and Ninjas to align the front sheet metal. I've assembled mine at least 4 times with 4 different results.... ever thought of welding the bits and pieces on?

The only issue was inserting the spring bushings into the hangers, not wide enough, so I lubed them with ky and they still gave me hell, so I used a well lubed spatulator (spatula) on each side of the bushings and eased then into position with plenty of persuasion and influence and it worked. Another way is to hammer the s*** out of the hanger to get them to open wider, well that was too easy so I didn't employ that methodology.

Easy big fella, this is a public forum..

You have the Part number for that "spatulator"...

"spatulator"= putty knife x2 part # Goldblatt G24221 1-1/2-Inch Flexible Stainless Steel Putty Knife
I actually used this method for real.
