@ToyotaMatt

Care package from the world arrived today. Many thanks Mijo. It was just what the Mule needed. The LED's really light up the stern of the SS Mule. I'll post up some pics of the install.

Last bit...

The LEDE's put out some lumens. I think the future holds a changing of the guard at some point from traditional bulbs to LED's......

Thanks again Matt for the assist. :clap:

More pieces and parts from the Yota-verse.

Just unboxed it earlier. I'll clean it up later. Haven't referred to the FSM yet for conformity, applicability or fitment. More to follow.

I do believe you've installed the license plate lamps backward... light is supposed to be shielded from those behind you and project onto the plate.

I'm assuming the missus asked to help you and you gave her this simple task to satisfy her curiosity and bring her into your world.

Keen eye Sahib..".I do believe" you are right. Please do not invoke the name of the one who shall not be named. I could end up on the couch..:oops:

@Honger

@Honger

Man, I should have been more subtle... it won't happen again!

I know you are aware the Djinn are of smokeless fire, Macey's and Neaman Marcus. To invoke the name will cause your credit card debt to multiply, your garage will turn asunder and your goats wont milk. Not to mention, your vacuum shift will fail, your T-case will seize, and your Dizzy will spin out of control....

So please sir, be careful...

I lived in the Middle East for 11 years... I'm well aware of the Djinn.

Houston, I have a problem.

It's an H2O insurgency, the vapor scourge, the dreaded humidity infiltration. Unusually humid here on the mountain top (Foot hill to you folks on the divide) for this time of year. My AC vents run exposed in my garage and man-cave. With all the precip, hot and warm conditions, every time I open the garage door the condensation monster comes crawling.

To the extent that after an hour today I was mopping up moisture off of the T-Case/Trans. Pretty sure neither have ever been exposed to back east humidity. So, I popped the top cover and gasket on the T-case, Put a coat of oil on surfaces I thought were susceptible to flash rusting as a preemptive strike. Also, plugged all the ingress/egress outlets. Bolted up the PTO cover sans gasket etc etc etc.

I may need to mate these two pieces together and fill with oil. As of now I'm short a 4spd shift tower to button up the Trans. I'll post an add in classifieds and see if I can round one up.

Thought about wrapping everything up and sneaking it into the closet.

I may have to relocate everything west into a more stable environment. Open for suggestions, comments or remediation. Cosmoline and vacuum seal.. :rolleyes:

I Would just spray/brush it down with some oil.

Thats what I did. Coated the internals with some straight wt as well, added a little grease to the shafts and crossed my fingers. I doubt that metal has ever seen anything like the humidity here back east. Usually, this type of moisture is relegated to a couple weeks in AUG. This year, we've had consistent rain interspersed with bright warm days. Every spring in the county is pumping water.

Reminds me I'm behind on the sheep dip (fluid film)...Crickey Mate, I may have just answered my own question as far as the external surfaces.

I Would just spray/brush it down with some oil.

I broke down some of my newly acquired shift linkage. Scuffed it and cleaned it with some alcohol in prep for a rattle can make over.

Da*n that would be a good title for a thread (Rattle Can Make Over). Painted Pieces are currently baking in the sun. I'll post the shiny bits later.

That's going to be a wrap for the day. Hosting my brother, soon to be retired SGM, and the NCOIC of post Engineering, MSG B-Ray for Burgers/Beers this PM.

My neighbor, 86yr old vet, will be the evenings moderator, medic and historian.... What? Someone's got to live to tell the story...
