My camp box in the back of the 55 is heavy (wood), really like the ones you have pictured. Are those drawers store bought or did you make them. Good job on the tube frame, a lot of work in there.
I’ve used them in 3 projects. They are very light and easy to use. Available here.
I’ve added the soft closed glides so they lock in place.
 
Installed the new fenders. What a PITA. Figured I'll do some electrical to clear my mind. I hooked up the EATON lockers. They provide relays and switches that are ment for trains. Huge, bulky and hard to find real estate to mount. I did get a OEM rotary switch and crimped pins to wires and potted with epoxy so I have apigtail with Deutsch connectors. A 3 relay block serves the F/R lockers and the front lights. CDL uses a DPDT relay to a switch that provides ONLY power. No messy control box like the 80 series.

Also worked on the custom snorkel. I used the 3D printer to muck up stuff.

Since the floor is corrugated I got a sheet of 6061-T6 2 mm thick to install under the marine floor. Probably bedline it.

Finished the frame of the gully. Next is sheet metal.

To change scene I started to work on the electrical system. Inverter, DCDC, and shore charger sit in the right well. I’ll add a fan computer in there with a thermostat to keep temperature down.

DCDC is 12/24 self select input and 12/24 programmed output with built in MPPT charger.
Shore charger is 90-240 VAC input for world travels.

How many kg is that steel frame ?
Frame weights 43lb (20 kg). Sheet metal about 30lb and counter top 30lb. With the drawers and sink painted I am estimating 130lb. Fridge is 55lb. My goal is to get less the 200 lb (90 kg) when it's all done and powder coated inside the rig.
 
Instead of sheet metal for covering , consider HDP , high density plastic .
A little lighter then metal , but you don’t transmit cold or heat ,and much more gentile to the touch .
And non need to paint ever.
They come in many finish and colors

Custom 3 piece grille?
No. It’s 2 pieces. The frame and the grill mesh. This is a prototype made by @kelly saad but he had parts to copy from so it needed mods. It was too wide so I cut the frame into 3 pieces and rewelded.

I ended up replacing the front plate with hexagons.

Galley ready for painting. Two of the panels need work but the rest is ready. All doors will latch with magnets.

Galley powdered and almost ready to install. Added a hi-lift bracket that will need to be painted.

Almost finished the electrical behind the galley, so I can bolt it on.

There is a roof of a 60 series on top to carry 750 miles to a body shop.

Do you have the right kind of lug nuts on holding that wheel on? It looks to me like those "cone style" wheels and not "flat washer" style wheels.

I have an 93 and 97 80 series and even though the wheels look the same they use different lug nuts. Not sure if there are similar issues with your wheels.

From what I've seen (at least on my 200 and a few other Toy/Lex vehicles) the washer type lug nuts still have a tapered cone seat where they'd interface with that steel wheel. Probably not ideal, and I assume it's not meant to be driven on that way, but it's probably way more than adequate to hold a spare on.

Thanks but I don't think it's a big deal. I bought the key set that includes the lock nut for the spare but can not figure out how it work. I'll post photos when I am back home. Drove yesterday the first long 750 miles to Flagstaff. Rig was fantastic. carried a 60 series roof on top and still got 20.3 mpg climbing to 8000'.
