Do you have the right kind of lug nuts on holding that wheel on? It looks to me like those "cone style" wheels and not "flat washer" style wheels.

I have an 93 and 97 80 series and even though the wheels look the same they use different lug nuts. Not sure if there are similar issues with your wheels.

Jared
Thanks, but I don't think it's a big issue. I bought the lock kit That includes the nut lock for the spare but can not figure out how to use it.

Drove yesterday to Flagstaff. First long trip - 750 miles - non stop and the rig was fantastic. Carried on the roof, a 60 roof for the body shop here and it still did 20.3 mpg climbing to 8000'.

Was a pleasure to meet @TRAIL TAILOR and see the shop. Some incredible and hard work going on over there.
Also got some serious windshield time with
@ofer bruhis we didn't stop talking the whole trip! About 80% was land cruiser talk, the LS vs diesel debate is alive and well.. 😂

Danny, I am lucky to have you as a friend. That was a fun trip. More to come!!!

The body shop is in Flagstaff. My budget for the finished overland vehicle is $90k. Doing most work myself. 5% of a McLaren P1 and so much better 😀.
I still think this is a debatable statement...lol
I Forgot we also debated this...

The reality is if you can afford the P1, Im sure you can afford to have a troopy as well.

Reading thru your whole thread if it wasn't obvious.

Went for a drive to check a few things per Ofer's request. Has a bit of door wind noise. So installed my inner doors seals and had to bling them out for my little buddy with some @TRAIL TAILOR stainless steel scuff plates.

Doors shut solid now and the seal took away the wind noise.

I didn't know you did the seals or the scuff plates for 70 series. Looks great and I'd love a set! I'll PM you. Nice stuff!

Quite a bit of @TRAIL TAILOR "aesthetic" and recovery products transfer across the 55-100 series.

Happy to visit and get you squared away. Just give me a PM or a call.

That is the beauty of these machines, but filling in the gaps across series as to what works is the realm of an artist. I'll get in touch. Thanks!

The rock sliders look fantastic. Now my wife can actually climb up to the passenger seat.

I started working on the telescopic stainless sliders for the bench to open to a bed. Not really happy with the smoothness and I might decrease the diameter of some of the 5 inner tubes.

Done with electrical. Galley mounted in place. Now hook the water and waste. Now I can finish the sliding bench driver side.

Hey Ofer, It is so satisfying to watch your build! What sink and faucet combo are you using here? TIA
Let me check what I ordered.
