The fire service roads and limited trails I have in my area are very mild. My 4 year old son likes to get out of his seat and sit on the center console, or in my lap to help drive, while we are "off road". Will this be safe on any of the trails?

Once you get on the mildest of the shelf roads we will be on, I think you will forget you brought this up :)

Taking the safety aspect out of the equation, many of the trails that we will be on (Black Bear included) are actually maintained county roads. All laws that apply on the highway would apply there as well. They are patrolled by the sheriff and the USFS.
. Another thing to consider. For all drivers and participants, we are covered under a permit and have event insurance. Anything that is not safe or legal should not occur on the trail, especially on purpose. Please refrain from anything that may risk the events good status with other groups, etc. I trust we won't have issues, just a friendly reminder since the topic came up. Thanks!

Just got home to find this. Looks like it will be hoodie and shirt sorting for me this weekend. Good way to avoid the heat.

Even better news for all the taller folks, I'm 6'3" and the hoodie fits awesome. Long sleeves and torso. Pretty sure I've never had a hoodie fit this well. After a 15 hour day at the office, this was a pleasant reminder that HIH is almost here!!

I'm 6'4" and built like Sasquatch, so that's good news!

Sorry to hear that. What causes it? How long does it take to cool?
High altitude, high heat and full gas tank. I spaced out and filled up all the way then we drove about a hour up and down northern Yellowstone with the sun beating at 95 degrees and idling at pic stops. We made a potty brake stop and I turned it off then it wouldn't start anymore. You can hear the bubbling inside and the only remedy is wait. It was about 40 minutes.

I had to replace my whole system last year, so I'm hoping that keeps me from having this issue.

Best defense is to not top off the tank and keep the idling to a minimum, right?

2 tanks in and averaging 11.1 MPG, this Rtt is killing me! I can usually get 13ish hiway MPG. I am driving a little fast at 75-85 mph though.

Anybody still on the wait list? It hurts to type this... But my mom just "surprised" me with a visit.... Her and my family are coming out on a surprise visit.. Next weekend. I am so so pissed right now. But I can't make it. Toss my shirts and all the stuff I bought in the raffle or give em away...

Sorry man, that's tough. Enjoy your family.

Thanks for all of the replies regarding my question about my son being able to get out of his seat on some of the trails. I didn't realize that many of them were shelf/tight roads with drop offs. Again, I wouldn't let him out on anything I felt was unsafe. He'll just have to suck it up and stay in his seat on this trip.

I know many of you are likely on the road. We would love to see your pics a #100sinthehills on Instagram. Just tag them that way. Safe travels to all!!!! Dont forget your camera!!

Been tagging everything! Just got the Crusher driving again. Key issues sucked, but my local ace made me keys for $50/key!

Should be installing some stuff this weekend!

Hard wiring the fridge. Replaced spark plugs, lubed driveshaft. Lots of trail dust buried in here.

Also, seems like everyone who committed to going with me has bailed, so if anyone who was wait listed still hasn't gotten in, shoot me a message if you still want to go and you're more than welcome to ride with me and drive for a day. Can scoop anyone in Denver!
