Fuel gauge stuck on E. Just put in a new sending unit. What’s the mostly likely issue?

Out of fuel.

@dnp was the scrap worth the cost of the sawzall blades?
Yeah, I had sold the roof / doors / tailgate, so the scrap didn’t bring much. BUT the space reclaimed was WELL worth it

Was there an advantage cutting it up versus just dragging the whole carcass?
Just easier. Just like eating an elephant one bite at a time, Lifting the carcass and transporting intact is a lot harder than spending 20 minutes to cut up the remainder and put the pieces in the back of a pickup. It’s funny how fast a reciprocating saw will cut through a body. I had already cut off the non-rusty rockers, so the floor and firewall were all that was left. Plus, when I got to the scrap yard, I didn’t have to wait on the magnet to unload me. I just threw the pieces off myself.

I’m sure there are plenty of 60s with cracked and/or broken rear cargo area interior panels. With about the only option for replacement being $800+ Wagongear or DIY’ing your own.

I was thinking about making a set out of aluminum to replace mine and if I do, would anybody else be interested in a set? I’m still working on total cost.
