Paint looks pretty good in the pic, congrats on finding such a clean one with a 5 speed to boot !

Best driving 2F gen truck I've ever experienced just like it is from the factory! Great color, mechanically sound with the carburetor, It’s a rare Find in the US. Canadian vintage but lived its life here. Enjoy!

After getting a close inspection it may have come from Canada but I think that’s possibly some assumption on the part of a P.O. due to the 5 speed.

The firewall tag has it as a H42 truck so the H55 was added. Likely when the motor was rebuilt.

Zero rot. My US Colorado truck is a rusty mess from the rear hangers back. This truck is surface only. Nothing a few cans of Rust Converter would not handle.

I stay with my assessment for you though Noel. I think you should try to find one with a bit better condition if the goal is to bring it back stock.

If my truck was 85 or newer it would have gotten a H55 last year but with my vintage it’s not worth the effort for the gain.

Just got my BOSS air bags finished. I installed Air Lift last week and they were just not something that looked like I could trust for heavy use.

These cost more but mount on top of the axle. It would be about a 2 hour install if my truck wasn’t a rust pile but 3 of 4 bumpstop bolts broke off so I had to drill and install nutserts

What’s the normal idle speed supposed to be?

My 60 seems to be idling a little high, in the 1000 range. That’s with the A/C off. It doesn’t seem to be a problem except for when I turn the engine off it turns over a time or two extra.

That one is my buddy Greg's. He'll probably be bringing it out to the swap meet. I just have the 200 and my Tundra now.

While I was away this week I got a call that a pallet of parts had arrived.

10 days into ownership and the 60 is getting a full Dobinson suspension and 33s.

Nice jtu ... I have the same console and love it.. anxious to see the suspension installed. If the u bolts or shackle bolts give you any trouble don’t hesitate to just cut them, they are being replaced anyway, or at least I hope you bought new ones. Are you putting a bushing up top for the spring centerpin ( reccomended) to get rid of the rubber spring isolator or reusing them?

I’m not sure, I haven’t pulled them out to see yet. I figured I’d use whatever bushing were included in the kit.

I reused my isolator and we reused Blaylock’s.

That said I’ve never heard of how to replace it.

On Ron’s Dobinson I really liked the inset grease zerks in the pins and shackles

I think it’s a good suspension setup. I’m not sure on the shocks. It’s hard to tell since none of our rigs are the same.
