There is a steel bushing I got from Kurt (cruiser outfitters) that goes over the top of the center bolt and creates a snug fit in the larger seat hole that the isolater normally fills . I wanted to ditch the crappy rubber isolator and this worked perfectly

Got a pic of where exactly you’re talking about? I just pulled my springs off and haven’t seen any rubber isolators. Only rubber I’ve found is the bushings in the spring eyelets.

They’re only on the rears.

I leave them in, because I’ve never planned ahead to get a bushing, but JTU has a machine shop at his disposal if he decides to ditch them!

A cheap bastard ( me) could also cut the existing bushings out of the isolator but probably not the best solution

The Boss airbags I installed on Ole Blue are a superb upgrade if you have a rooftop tent and a bunch of weight on the ass off your truck with no desire for it to ride like a log truck the rest of the time.

Welcome to SLOCRUISERS

Highly recommend.
