It may actually be more Y shaped. It is the piece shown here bolted to the slave cylinder and then the bottom bolt goes to the bellhousing. There is a top bolt not seen in this angle. I searched and found this pic. i have to dig through the parts baggies to find the actual broken part. Thanks and it would be awesome if you had something like it laying around.
I may have one of those in my parts stash of Nolen doesn't. I'll check in the morning and let you know.

It's an auto. I'm on the fence on that. Wife will prefer auto, but I like the idea of a manual. I guess if I find one in this condition, for the right price I just know that the transfer case might be an issue at some point.

Would love something along these lines.

20,000 is high for that truck.

I'd be very wary of anything at a used car lot

I agree on the auto. I think the drivability factor for your wife goes way way up.

Amazing what 60 prices have done.

For example. I got a nice 62 from a friend that sat up for $2000. Got it clean and running and sold it to Mike at Cruiser Corps for $5000. He flipped it for $10,000 after doing some work on it.

Fast forward 4 years and that same truck just sold for $17,000

You are shipping at the highest I've ever seen the 60 market. Be prepared to pay.

I agree $20k is high. I am not shopping, just window shopping for now. I've got to get home, find out about another possible turn and burn back here before I buy anything.

I think we will lean for an auto due to the wife. Good excuse to buy a 40 to teach everyone to drive a stick on later!

60 prices have definitely gone up. That's why I am looking now so I can be educated when the time comes. i'm willing to pay if the truck is solid and clean or may venture more in the direction of a fixer upper. Wife and I have both talked about a 60 since the last 100 left us to live with Dave. The end state is the weekend warrior truck that would only see dirt roads...who knows maybe make it to a Crawl one day. so the comments above about performance verse a 100 are not a big deal to me. I am buying it specifically for the truck qualities...and clearly the cool factor.

I would think money paid on the front end would be recoverable if sold later and the truck was cared for. Who knows if prices keep going north I may change my tune, but for now (and with a few days at a computer) i'm in education and lust mode.

Take care.

Got mine for 8 and change with an extra transmission. Be patient and jump quick. No matter how much a truck is "done" it's gonna need things. But at least with a 60 you'll get most of your $ back when you sell, unlike a 100

What do you mean the tcase may be an issue? Are you saying if you swapped the auto for an H42/55?

If so, the 62 case will bolt up fine with just a few minor modifications.

Woulsnt be a bad idea to get a 62. Let the wife enjoy the auto, then later down the road persuade her it needs a manual conversion...

Step 1. Still wanting it drivable until swap time.

Letting this thing sit all Summer was a bad call. Spiders. Mildew. Yuck.

Once I reclaimed the inside I pulled the front bumper off.

This frame section. Not sure why it was like this. I can't remember if I did it to install the ARB or what.

It's gone now.

Bare nosed. I'm going to paint the lower valance and hood at minimum during this. I like the "Patina" on the rest of the truck

In case you find the rest of the truck, I got the auto/t-case covered

I just meant the 5 speed is stronger so I would prefer that, but will most likely look for an auto for the wife. That being said the auto tranny is the weak point. If that's the case then yes the H42 or other options come into play s far as swaps.
