$1288.00 shipped with the upgraded DUI Distributor after the 20% off.

Thank you DNP for pointing out the coupon.
Send me / post your spec. sheet. I'm seriously considering doing the same......

I just ordered the 2F model with the 2F plate and the upgraded DUI ignition. 30" loom to the ECU.

On line ordering is easy.

DUI is cheaper through Summit but I am thinking they will curve it to their system if I get it from them. I should have called on that but I hate talking on the phone.

I called them a time or time or two asking random questions. Real nice dudes. I'd go through them too.

Since my engine is done, I'm copying Nolen's plan. Keeping the 2F and using Jackson Cylinder Head. I just ordered an AFI kit for 1288 as well. Thanks for the coupon information.

Taking tons of pictures and starting on engine removal today. Any chance I can keep the A/C system all connected and on the vehicle? Figured i would try since it's full of r12 and worked well. I'm not sure how much I will be able to move the condenser to get the engine out.

I went ahead and picked up an AFI as well. Everyone seems to be pleased with them, and since the carburetor can be the most likely weak-link in 2F driveability, I figured it was worth it.......plus, the sale is ending today!

I would think that you could pull the compressor, AC drier, and condenser out of the way and tie them back.

If your air isn't working perfectly, though, this is the perfect time to address it. Autozone will loan you a vac pump & gauge set, and it's pretty simple to recharge.

All of the AC components are available new (but not from Toyota), and pretty reasonably priced.

Well, now you pretty much have to get the lower end rebuilt

Know what would be fun?

Grogan grabs a Cottonland Tow Rig and a trailer and heads to Georgia, picks up me, my 40 and my yet-to-be-purchased AFI and back to Tilda Bogue Cruisers we go.

Everyone who did not hire the AFI work out to Jackson Cylinder Head can come on over and we can all install AFI kits and cuss and laugh.

We can set-up several stations...AFI station, where most of y'all work.

Cheering station....where I will be prohibited from leaving but will likely have my wife (long story, but I'm not allowed to attend Cruiser events without her...LSLC rule, not mine or hers) which will entice Julie to drop her gardening gloves and hang out.

Cruiser wash station, supervised by @MScruiser though he'll be more like a rover (since I have a Dewalt air compressor that, even though it doesn't have an "engine" needs fixed)

@Bodean can make shirts and sing songs, especially if @Texican shows for a duet...and both can lend expertise to wrenching and cussing.

@beno can come out from Colorado (70 Series all the way) and deliver everyone's parts and some stickers and we can all update the Where's Beno thread. His wrenching is optional since he will have won the Iron Butt trophy.

That way, I can finally meet all of my Internet friends and enjoy a trip back in my newly fuel injected 40.

Sounds good, Garth
