Time for a v8 swap and you don't want to give up the manual shifting?

I think one of the biggest issues I see with FJ60 V8 swaps is cooling the motor and transmission. Cam has his right I realize

Just looking at options. Seems like adapting a H55 to a 5.3 is way more complicated and expensive than mating a NV4500 to a splitcase.

Maybe I'm wrong.

@fountainhead has probably run these numbers 1000 times. Let him plug in FJ60 vs FJ40 and see what comes out...
 
5.3 + GM auto transmission
 
All my FJ40 v8 swap algorithms include a TH400; I don't have much to offer here.

I am interested in what you figure out, though. I've got an FJ60 itch, a turnkey 5.3, and a solid running 2F in my 40 that I just can't bring myself to part ways with yet.

Shouldn't have sold the 100. Could have gone for a 40, 55, 60, 100, and 200. Will need an 80 itch too, come to think of it.

She's right. The goal should always be to "add to..."
 
The 100 has spoiled me with its lack of rattles and power windows. Now I want a V8'd 80 :lol:
 
The amount 0f 60-62 coming thru @49 Tire has been truly surprising and awesome. The style is so cool. I'd love to have one in the stable BUT @Denmomdeb wants a generator and what debbie wants....
