Ha! Yeah, there was a need, and I'm just trying to help out the hobby.

I'm learning how often Toyota changed stuff! It appears they changed the floor pan mid-model. I don't know if it was during 85 or with the 86 model, but it changed. Also trying to find out if carpet colors were the same 2 shades for all the 6x series or 2 for the 60 and 2 different ones for the 62. Is that info available? Beno, I need to purchase some of your knowledge!

That is info I have David. If I didn't, I wouldn't be good at my job. ;)

Drop a line this week. Let's talk.

Just as a data point, my Sept '85 has the earlier floor.

I'll be looking to get a set from you at some point, after I get a new windshield (leaks on floor), and tweak my muffler location (melting the carpet!).

Nice work sir

Out with the old and in with the new.
I figured this would be the better place to ask about it. wngrog, your thread on installing your desmog is the best I've seen so far. Right now I'm having some problems connecting the linkages in the back of the carb. I accidentally disassembled a little too much while trying to remove the old carb. Does anybody mind posting or sending me a couple reference pictures? I feel like I'm playing with a kid's Cracker Barrel puzzle

Edit: well part of the linkage I needed had fallen through to the floor. Makes more sense now. I'm going to try to hold out as long as I can before I cry uncle.

The actual desmog thread is a nightmare and the existence of Trollhole picture diagrams were spotty. Glad it was some help.

Mine is still out of tune.

My vacuum Port at the base of my carb is not drawing vacuum therefore my distributor was not advancing.

Moved the advance to a unused vacuum Port in the manifold filter and it settled right in and ran great.

Then I got a nasty knock in my valvetrain.

Fxxx me.

Dunno. I drove it down to DNP to help me with it really running bad. No advance.
Would not go 50. Motor stumbling so bad it felt like the tires had flat spots.

When I got there the motor was pushing oil out of every seal. So much pressure. Guage didn't show it though.

Took it home. Most of the leaks stopped.

I checked the oil at DNP and it was a quart low.

Drove it a bunch last night.

Was another quart low this am.

Added 2. Noise not there.

It's the death throes. Time for a change.

Dunno. It is a smoking leaking bitch but I really like it like it is.

I think I'll go on the hunt for a good 2F first.

It's got so many real good and new accessories that's the smartest move.

If I go that route I might stick an H55 in it.

Then we could do that Cummins R2.8 swap down the road to keep it tractor-ish.
