Looking for a few bits and pieces for the grey interior on my 62. If you happen upon any please let me know. Looking for: Passenger visor, plastic seatbelt covers along front door sills, seatbelt retractor cover on passenger side rear, front carpet, plastic blank fill above ashtray, front tow hook, plastic headliner trim where it meets the rear hatch, interior door handle bezels.
How many of these parts, if any, can be sourced from a 60?

Looking for a good 60 hood and L & R fenders......and possibly a tailgate and liftgate. Anyone know of a 60 stash within a reasonable distance from here? Maybe a non-rusty complete truck?
Nevermind. Parts source acquired.

Yep. Picked it up yesterday. Lots of the good sheet metal I need.

Not sure if you need the drivetrain, but if it is a manual, and you don't need the trans and case I'm in the market.

No, I have no need and plan to sell the engine, tranny, and t-case.

I had so many people ask me about that damn truck.

So, would it have been a salvageable truck?
It's according to what you call "salvageable." Something to restore? No. Just needs too much to make that economically feasible. You could do it, but you'd be in it far above what it would bring. Something to provide transportation? Maybe, but even then it would require a lot of time and expense.

For my parts needs, and for other various parts to be sold, it is just right.

For sure. Parts trucks are so nice to have. It's just fooling with them.

I'd suggest the no shipping pick and pull method to keep your sanity.
Good suggestion on the pick and pull. The 2F runs so incredibly good in this most recent truck that I'm considering parting out the body and restoring / building the chassis and drivetrain - then swapping the good body onto it. I realize what an undertaking that is, so I may reconsider......but since the two trucks are only a month and about 5,000 miles (allegedly) apart in age and distance, I'm at least going to run compression on both and figure the route to the best end product.

I second this.

Other suggestions: Do not respond to Wanted ads on MUD. Too many people are looking for pristine 60 series parts and will not be interested in the 30 year old, worn but usable parts. Boxing parts and tracking down shipping quotes will eat up a huge amount of time.

Proceed with caution if listing in the For Sale or Parting Out sections.

Buyer always pays shipping.
