Thanks @dnp I appreciate that. sometimes I lose my mind and can count on you guys to help keep me straight. After owning several 40’s and a 100 I’ve realized theres just something special about a 60 , to me, it’s the perfect blend of old school and semi modern. At times I lose sight of that and take it for granted.

Might not be the prettiest job but managed to fanangle the factory radio brackets to hold the new head unit. The old headunit wasn’t even bolted into the dash and shorted out with big potholes.

This headunit isn’t going anywhere:

Out of the 4 speakers in the vehicle only was working properly so I ordered up some 5.25” speakers for the front and new 6x9” for the cargo area. Also running new 16ga shielded speaker wire to all corners.

The 5.25” Alpine speakers were the shallowest mounting speakers I could find with a mounting depth of 1-11/16”. They just barely touched the window when rolled down so I spaced them about an 3/16” of an inch with some flat washers to avoid an contact. They fit under the door cards pretty well with the tweeter dome only making slight contact with the factory speaker grill.

Yeah I think I’m going to move this Chinawench over to the Warthog and properly equip my “CottonOverLand” vehicle with an 8274. That s*** on the Georgia mountain has me nervous about crappy equipment

Got the 4plus bumper mounted up today! @wngrog i know the ARB I just took off, the newer one, had forward facing holes and could run an 8274. I’m going to run an m8000 in the 4plus.

What are people upgrading their headlights with? My 60 seriously need some modern headlights. I’ve heard that LED headlights cause some problems with the 60 series, what about HIDs?

I’m looking at the Dapper projector headlights. They seem to be the go to choice in the classic car world.

I put the same gauges in the buggy (plus a small oil temp one next to the trans temp). Speedhut makes some good s***.

Looks like you've got a voltage/charging problem though.
