Hello everyone

Looking for a pair of 60 series suspension seats for my 1990 FJ62. Would prefer the seats with the bases but will take just the bases as well. Brown fabric also preferred but that can always be changed later, so I'll take any color.

Located in Los Angeles CA.

(Also crossposted to regular parts classified section)

Did they even make a stock suspension seat base for the 60 series ?
They are common in the BJ70's here in Canada though were not available in the 60's. European market, JDM or Aussie perhaps ?

They did, I'm not so sure specifically about JDM but I know they were an option on the top of the line Saharas (FJ62 or HJ61) in Australia. They do have a different base design than the 70 series. They're out there, it just doesn't seem like it was a very common option at all...some even came with integrated seat heaters I believe.

I appreciate that info ! Good luck with your search.

Yota Imports has turbo seats but I don't know if they have the suspension variety.

If you can stomach international freight look on gumtree.au for HJ61 part outs. There is an HJ61 with brown turbo suspension seats listed there right now.

Thanks bottombracket, was actually completely unaware of Yota Imports. Messages sent to both them and the guy parting out the 61 in Aus.

I have a set of bases out of my 1990 HZJ73. Not sure if they will fit into your truck. I'm in Norcal. PM me if you are interested.

They work, but could use a little cleaning and reconditioning. One base has the seat rails on it.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the later 70 and 60 series are not compatible. My bases don't fit my 70 so I'm thinking they are 60 series....but no longer have a 60/2 so I can't verify

I think @In2cruisers is right, I don't think the 70 series bases fit the 60 series, they're just a slightly different pattern. If it turns out they do fit, then I'm definitely interested, but I'll have to do a little research first.

They are significantly different.

I hacked 70 series bases to fit into my 60. Haven't driven the truck yet, so I can't tell you how well it works. But it was a lot more work than a simple seat swap.
