I hear ya. I have all the seals from JC Whitney, but I don't like the way some fit. I ordered mine early figuring some returns would be necessary. And they will be.
 
You need to post up what fits and what doesn't. Cause if I can find it here in the States and it looks and works right I will buy it.

So far the only thing I have bought was the window channel. It looks to be spot on.

I bumping this back up because I think it could be a hell of a deal. I'm thinking about buying a distributor and a carb just for the hell of it and storing it for a future cruiser.

I'm gonna try bumping this back up also. Maybe one of our AU guys could call and see if this guy is still in business and still selling parts and possibly get some prices.

Thanks Trollhole, great finds!! If there's anything I can do to help, let me know! I'm on hold due to that whole "last year of college" thing, but am definitely interested in lining everything up for when I'm ready to buy.

What reproductions do they make for the 55? What are they constructed out of?
Will they ship to the US? What are the prices in AU dollars?

Do they do any sheetmetal work? Have they ever thought about rear corner patch panels?
 
tried calling these numbers today, but neither of them connected. cell number you listed there had incomming call baring on, which means the number has been either lost/stollen, or he's not payed the bill for a while, so i tried looking "Joe's cruisers" up on whitepages.com.au and found another cell number, diffrent to your records. This number connected to some other company, so i left a message with the operator, asking to be called back reguarding toyota landcruiser parts if that made any sense to anyone there because the operator sounded as tho she had no idea what i was on about. weather or not the message gets passed on im not sure, might try again tomorrow, see if i can get ahold of anyone there on either of the numbers i have :) wish me luck

Well over the weekend I spent a little time going through the epc for my 55. I made a list of about 60 part numbers I thought might be things that we still need. My dealer spent an hr looking them up. Found 20 of them were still available. Very cool parts I thought would be discontinued. So I placed an order for all but one of them. Will be interesting to see if they are actually the correct parts. Some of them were really cool. Stay tuned I should have them late this week along with part numbers and pics.

Well I KNOW the mirrors are still available, or at least were this summer (I have a right and left new in the box!!).

Lets just wait and see what I get first. Most were small things someone who was doing a resto would want.

I will say this. I found out that you can still get the bumper bolts. Not a suprise really until you see that they come in two styles one in the regular finish and one in chrome. 85 cents for the regular and 2.08 for the chrome.

Maybe we need to start a list of good known part numbers that are still in stock.
Mirrors, rear window gear, hub caps etc.... And maybe the prices of what they cost. I plan on giving my guy a list once a month and see what all is still in stock.
 
called the mobile (cell) number today he answered very coyly asking who i was. When i told him what i was after he freeded up a little, but bad news he isnt in bussiness anymore. he gave me a name of another outfit that might be able to assist will try get on to them this arvo
