Oh man with Peddles All I may need to do is convince the computer its always in Neutral or figure out a better way to not deal with the tran!!! What would the $$$ be on a kit like that? Also does it come with the transfer case? if so any Part time transfer cases?H151F with bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate, throw out, guide, lever, slave and master with hydraulic line. Can supply pedals if needed as well!
Can include pedals yes. $500. They are all part time cases, we don't deal in any full time cases.Oh man with Peddles All I may need to do is convince the computer its always in Neutral or figure out a better way to not deal with the tran!!! I just realized you're the one with all the Facebook marketplace Ads that I have been drooling over! LIke that FJ80 Diesel Swap with a Manual!!!! Plus all the 40s... Love the website!
Yeah, I would go with H150/1F. R151 is the lighter duty transmission. H150/1 is the heavier duty. The H55 is previous generation to the R and H. I would say your R151 is actually stronger than the H55....but that is my opinion.Hey Scott, my R151F is in need of a rebuild for the third time in the vehicle's life (2001 HZJ78 w Coil Overs and 365k on the clock) and I'm curious about swap options to something beefier. A shop here in Bozeman, MT has a H55 with a 1HZ bellhousing that they say my transfer case will bolt to and that they'd be willing to try to fabricate a crossmember for, but I'm reading that that may be tough due to pan hard location on the coil over models. Do you have any insight on this? Can't seem to find anyone who's put an H55 into a coil over successfully and I'm guessing there's a reason for that. I'm just learning about this as I go and I'm trying to sort out my best option moving forward.
Would a H150/1F fit better than the H55?
Thanks for any insight.
Ok noted, thanks. Do you have any idea if the geometry of the H150/1 is any more similar to the R151 making it an easier swap than the H55?Yeah, I would go with H150/1F. The H150/1 is definitely the way to go for more strength.
Yes. It is.Ok noted, thanks. Do you have any idea if the geometry of the H150/1 is any more similar to the R151 making it an easier swap than the H55?
Anytime. Just give me a heads up!I need to swing by your shop sometime. I was just in Blue Ridge yesterday.
I feel the same way! @TurboScott Have you considered a Yota Meetup at your place to show off your sweet Builds and Swaps? Plus it's fun to meet other toyota guys! Especially ones driving rigs a bit on the slightly older side. Swing it as a business Idea... Maybe its a write-off...I need to swing by your shop sometime. I was just in Blue Ridge yesterday.
