Got to try CC for the first time yesterday, on the beach. Played around with the settings and had the truck maxed out on different settings! Center diff lock, MTS set to mud/sand and CC on. Drove around half mile providing no pedal input and alternating CC speed. Also turned center diff lock off to see if that provided any difference. The truck drives great on the sand as is (typically I leave in 4high, and MTS sand/mud), so no real benefit from using CC, however I can see it helping get out of a scenario where the truck is stuck/buried. Looking forward to trying out CC on other technical terrain in the future.

Did virtually the same thing a few weeks ago playing around in the sand. That CC makes some weird ass noises that will scare the crap out of you if you don't know it's coming. It sounds like you're breaking all kinds of s***! But, yes, it works well for getting you out of buried situations. And like you, I am looking forward to using it in other situations, like in the rocks. Coming from a triple locked and fully armored LX450 (and still have a buggy for the really fun stuff) I am clamoring to put this thing in some rocks, albeit not the size rocks I used to put the LX in.....well, not yet anyway........

What should I look for with the multimeter to see if I can use the adjustable suspension switch for the CC levels. Already has 3 positions so maybe it could work. Not sure what to look for to see what signals are going through.

Crawl uses pins 3,5,6 on Combo Switch Assembly with a GND off of pin 9

Pin 15 is used with DAC but no longer in use when you convert to Crawl

Here are pins used by AVS & RAHC

If you are deleting AVS/RAHC you could leverage the ON/OFF button for RAHC as the ON/OFF button for Crawl moving those connections around by de-pinning wire 16 and plugging in wire currently at 6.

Thanks, I've got rear bags but no avs anymore. Looking at the diagram I can still use the on off of the dac but it looks like the avs has only two options as it defaults to the center position. With the momentary switch setup you figured out before do you think tapping the AVS sport and comfort wires would actually give you the momentary up and down needed? Flipping the avs switch up - then center - then up - center again?

I'm not sure how that would work with a non-spring loaded and non-momentary switch.

Probably want to look at what John00 did on CL

That first post has a lot of info

Thanks to this forum and this thread in particular, I now have MTS on my new-to-me 2019 GX460; moved from a 2014 4Runner LTD to this. The instructions here were perfect. Took me about an hour from walking into the garage to putting up the last of my tools. As noted, nylon panel tools are a huge help. Waiting on crawl control for a bit. Here's a couple of pictures.

@Acrad, thanks for all your posts and helpful tips.

Cheers!
Dave

Seems a few are experimenting with 2020-2022 GX460... waiting for updates... subscribed~
I sold my 21 and got a 22. They are VERY different so this should be interesting.

My 2022 GX has the option package "Sport Design Package with Premium Plus and Captains Chairs". Basically adds the Mark Levinson Audio, which I am a big fan of, and a few other cosmetic extras. But no "special" off road goodies, other than KDSS (which is the big plus GX models). All it has is DAC, which is OK. But I want all the toys... MTS... Crawl, etc.
