45 Owner FINALLY!

Well, spotted this badboy back in Feb. of 04....about 30 miles from my house. been kinda chatting with them ever since. Finally decided to take the plunge and pick her up.

She's a 74 HJ45 that they bought new from Stevinson Toyota in Denver, (some sorta dealer swap is my guess.)

PabloCruise(TJ) went down with me to pick her up on Saturday and I owe him lots of

Shows 50K Kilometers... but I believe he said it had turned twice so 250 Kilo's and that they had rebuilt the engine a while ago. The only "rot" in in the bed where a battery box had been installed only surface on the floorboards, and very minimal on the fenders where that C-channel is at. She is VERY solid...VERY!


So far, my wife says...get it painted quick!!!! I have only had about 30 minutes to mess with her since I got her home.

Extras:
Rabbit fur covered sunvisors (gone!)
Smoke stack through the bed still there
Extra roll cage/light bar in back
Overhead speaker unit (gone!)
6 Jerry cans still there
Spare gas tank

Great find. Do you really have to paint it? With the camo color scheme and parked at the correct angle in the yard maybe your wife will not even notice.

btw: the actualy visors are really nice now that I took those off...and the speaker tray was just up there, not bolted in...

Yeah, they're Old Expired Mammals. That truck looks vaguely familiar. Was it posted anywhere? Congrats!

She's gonna be back to factory original paint...it's that green color than we can't identify...

I had posted it back two years ago when i found it...but it's never been "for sale" so to say.

Nice find and recovery, For some reason I am thinking you could put some water under the seats and grow some Illegal plants on the seads that might be left under the seats. 1974, 4 fingers $10

HJ45 in the states is rare.

oh it's getting painted lol...spent last night tearing a bunch of stuff down...

I suppose I should make a seperate rebuild thread...

cut 8" of "smoke stack" off to fit in garage...

got rid of gun rack...

removed a plethora of speakers, FM signal booster

took out fire extinguisher, emergency flare holders...

nixed some strange storage device on dash...

pulled a few KC lights/switches...
