All you need for radio power is the red wire(controlled by ignition). Yellow wire constant 12volt. Black is ground. This is coming from the radio itself. Check for fuses.
The radio, depending on how old it is, may also have an in-line fuse on the red wire. Make sure you check that one too.

I know your PPO had it installed at an audio shop, head unit, ipod hook up, etc.....

Well the red eject light is illuminated so it looks like radio is powered. I can not find a wire that comes directly off battery to power the radio. Looks like I might be getting knew radio.

mike, that radio should be fine. what is wrong with it? cd player not working or radio not working or....?
It won't power on but the red CD eject light is lit, so it's getting power.

will it take a cd? I think you can "lock" that unit bc the face detaches....look up the manual on a google search?

Sounds like your constant power (yellow) is connected. Does it have a clock and does it function? If there is a clock button on the face, press and hold it to see if the clock comes on. That yellow wire may be routed to an "always hot" spot in the fuse box. It also sounds like the ignition power (red) is not connected or the in-line fuse is blown. HTH
Clock is on radio head which doesn't power up.
Yes. I never mess with the face until I noticed it not working. That's how I found out it had a cd player.
Think I am calling best buy.
I would have someone with a mulitmeter check it out first.
Also I would buy a marine radio for the 40...it will handle the weather better with out the top.
