Hello all,

I have gotten a ton of messages inquiring about DIY kits for 40, 60 and 70 series. I'll be taking 16 of my items to the designer on Thursday for CNC design and bending. This will help me speed up my turnaround time, keep the quality control strict, allow me to continue with R&D on other items and cruiser builds.

I will also be expanding the product line to the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra in the near future as well. Just need a little more time with R&D.

Let me know if there is any interest in this.

PLEASE VOTE ABOVE ^^^^

I have two friends that will be in the market for Tacoma/4Runner bumpers in the next 2-3 months.

Shane, let me know what years models they are. I have a neighbor across the street that has a 2011 Taco and his wife has a 2013 4Runner. I'm hopeful that I can strike a deal with them on armor for at least one of them...

Very cool!

Thanks D, I will have the piggie bumpers in R&D soon and will offer them in a DIY as well.

Question??? When you ran the frame extensions with my 40 bumper did you shim the top and bottom of the extensions? Looks like they (55) are -- 4" channels instead of the 40s -- 4.5" channel....

Jason

Time to start making pig compatible extensions :)

D, I'll adjust the inner dimensions to match the 4" extension channel. I want a clean look and bolt up for my customers without having extra bolt holes or having to shim or supply washers.. Just an all around better solution IMO.

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it.

I have put together a weld together bumper kit on Dad's 60. I have fabricated my own bumpers from scratch too (faux-lux, for example)

I will do another one for my 60 (either the same one, or 4x4 labs) later this year.

I would love to toss a third option in there when the time comes.

If I had my druthers, I'd buy a bumper shell (with quarter panel protection, please), with the swing out arms to weld together. I'd prefer to fabricate my own tire carrier tower and whatever I put on the other side (ladder, jerry can holder, etc...). But I'm guessing people might be interested in these as well.

I think it's a great idea. Like I said, I'd be in that market this summer/fall, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Dan, I've kinda gone away from the 1/4 panels... Not too many customers to justify the design expense... especially on a DIY kit.. if I could get 5 guys up front, I would send it to the shop...

I will soon be offering three 60 front options and all in a DIY kit as well.

Very much understood.

Are you planning only front bumper kits, or also rear?

Any word when your going into production on these bumper kits? PM price when you can, no hurry

I hope to know more next week. They are working on them, had a few RFIs on radii, etc.. this week. Holiday weekend and the guys are out of the shop for a few days.

Also, just to note... These kits will be pre-bent in 3 to 5 sections total. Flat cut piece kits are decent, but the bent edges make it easier to make it look good and less welding for the end user.

I'll be in touch soon.
