Being told that the rear 60 series ARB locker will fit into the 80 series diff. So that works.
The 60 series front locker won't work in the 80 series because the 80's diff is smaller🤫😵
Who would have thought ?

The 80 *front* diff is smaller yes. The 80 rear is the same as the 60 front and rear (minus SF axle compatibility issues).

The 2 lockers came in. As i was expecting, they're for an Fj60. So the rear one will work. The other is too big for the 80 series diff Still a score..... brand new for a fraction of the regular price. I can live with that😅

My radiator needs a shroud. I decided to build one out of aluminium. There was only one place where aluminium was sold by sheets of different thickness. Tried all day to call them only to learn from a friend that the place was looted and burned by gangsters last month.😡
Man, this really sucks!!!! I called everyone i know who might have some but no luck....
I had a piece of 1.5 Mm diamond playe aluminium . Flipped it with diamond print pn the inside towards the radiator.

You've been VERY resourceful and got sh-t done this whole build. You definitely have a "Can Do" attitude. 👍
Thanks,
I really wish i had unlimited access to parts and marerials as you guys do Stateside.... having to find a way around every problem is time consuming and tiring.
I am on my third attempt at trying to build the upper rear back panel. The corner windows just would not fit properly😡. They say third time is a charm..... hoping that in this case it will be true. Been chipping at it for days now.... I think it will work this time. I'll only post pics of it if i'm successful this time around.

Posting pictures of unsuccessful attempts is also helpful as it helps me learn. Those look like tricky bends. We know how it goes, too. Ha! You cut a piece of cardboard, draw some bend lines, test in the bender until you find the right method, then you grab a piece of metal and it behaves drastically differently. It’s the art of patience and persistence!

Haven’t heard from you in a while, you still out there?

I am beginning to have big doubts about finishing this one. I am not one to give up ever but this one hurt me pretty bad.
Hope you are doing OK! Maybe the community may be willing to pitch in and help, I know I would be willing!

Guys,
I can't thank you enough for the generous offers to help and for your support. I truly appreciate all of you . This will not be forgotten.
Fortunately, a friend and client here has a generator that he is not using and is selling it to me cheap. Needs some repairs and an oil change, etc. I'm gonna go with this an will hopefully be able to start over on the project as soon as the generator is operational.
THANK YOU ! from the bottom of my heart. I am truly humbled by your gestures and goodwill. I'm honored to be a part of such a great community !
