Lots of one-off vehicles in "Tha Bush".

Anyone remember what Crocodile Dundee drove in the 1st movie?

Awfully chopped to be a made in America 4WD:D

any way they made a 2 wheel drive wagon styled after the pick up, if so it looks like some one just converted on to 4wheel drive.

In Thailand, every older model pick up truck was very commonly made into "station wagons". You don't see it "much" on the new models but tonnes on the old ones. I have seen trucks just like the one pictured before although they aren't that common just because they are so old now.

Thailand has a huge tax on SUVs making them way more expensive than pick up trucks, so this "wagon" may be a loophole to getting around that.

I think that a lot of them were made this way from the factory but the Isuzus are often badged as Thairung which must be the factory conversion company. Do a google image search for "Thairung" and you'll see about 3 generations of mostly Isuzu truck station wagon. Over here the Isuzu Dmax is the same as a Chev Colorado so you will see a lot of Colorado wagons as well.

I have never noticed badging of any other company on the Toyotas or other Japanese wagons.

That makes sense. Sort of like why they went to only 4-door Runners in the states - that 2-door was a truck but 4-door was a "car" and taxed differently.

Spent some time Googling Thairung and saw some interesting vehicles, but not much that was close to the original picture.

not only tax .. but INSURANCE .. 2drs are classed as "sports " vehicles .. much higher insurance rates .. this also "curbed" sales
