Been a busy year...

Jon, different camp site, or same and "super secret"?

The wife already got the Friday off for us to go, now its my turn to let the shop know I won't be in for work that day!

I was showing her the tread tonight and she's already counting herself in on the smoked pulled pork from BJTLC100!

Was looking at tires tonight and am wondering if anybody out there running smaller rims on the 100!?! 18 diameter rubber don't come by on a budget! What tires you guys have on?

Thanks
Paulo

Jon...I am out. My class dates shifted so I'll be teaching over the event weekend. One of these days I'll be able to make one of these events.

I swapped the 18" wheels on my '04 LC for OEM 16" wheels. Running 285/75-16 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Depending on turnout it will be either the year one (more people) or the year two (fewer people) location. I'll keep an eye on confirmed attendees for the next couple of weeks. I will be visiting the site in t weeks and will get a better feel for how we can fit people in while minimizing impact.

02beast!!! Missed you at Moab this year too.....you better make it to this.

Unfortunately, I had a trip to WA planned and it conflicted with Moab. We'll be there next year though.

Jon, sounds like some great planning hopefully with a good turn out. I will be towing my homemade "beast" trailer. :grinpimp: Not sure if the wife will be joining me yet.

The first few years of the 100-series came with 16" wheels. I think 16" is the smallest you can use and still have it fit over the brake caliper. My tires are 285/75R16 BF Goodrich All-Terrains. They fit fine without any rubbing and even the spare in that size will still fit under the truck.

It's official - 4 of us will be making the trip from the DC area. Will be bringing two rigs assuming my friend upgrades from his 80, otherwise carpooling in mine.

Anyone else plan on making the trek from this way starting Tuesday and would like to caravan?

Looking forward to it!

Wow.....I thought 8 hours was a long drive! You won't be disappointed when you get there.

30hrs...wow. Thought my 19 was long!

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD, and hopefully approved by the good folks at the NSA!

Looks like my family and I are about 90% go right now. I'm coming from LA and am trying to get my local crew together for a caravan. Might be tough since I will leave on Tuesday or Wednesday before.

Everyone needs to track their caravans with a GPS track so we can plot all the arrival tracks on one map. It would look pretty cool to see everyone descend upon Ouray.

I'll be headed out after work. At camp by sundown......

This is a great idea. You have a process for this that you can post up so we would all be on the same page?

I know y'all know I'm in but I'm not shown on the list. Throw me on there so it'll be accurate. Might be good to sort the definite's to the top also so that you have a definite count and then a maybe count.

I'm in for sure plus my pregnant beauty and our 2 little ones!

Not sure on how to do the tracking on the gps yet since we only have this thing for a week!

I use a bad elf Bluetooth GPS paired with my ipad and motion x GPS app. Records the entire trip

I believe FollowMee has an Android app. I use it on my iOS stuff to track my crews. I have it update every 15min on all of our devices. It logs location and it can be downloaded later in GPX (Garmin), KML (google) or xls format. If no cell signal is present it caches until it can upload. Works pretty well for me. Might be the ticket for this. Works in the background on our iPads and iPhones and is not a big battery drain at all. This topic may require another thread in and of itself LOL.
