Nobody replied to the tread for 2 days already! What's going on?

Well, decision is made and we will be staying in town and meet everybody wherever it it's!

As I mentioned before, we got this LC a couple wells ago and it's bone stock!

As of now the only thing I have added are my thule cross bars. Still have my roof basket I made few years ago to put on but it looks tiny since the LC is so much wider then the little truck I had before!

Putting my order today for a CB and a GTA iPhone adapter (these things are awesome, already have on other vehicle).

I'll see if I can add some sliders by the time of the trip!

It sucks but don't think can swap tires by then! I want to swap the 18s to 16s and get some bigger rubber on then!

I'm out. Family member is getting married and my parents offered to fly my whole family to the east coast for some of the Pre wedding festivities. So can't pass on a free flight for three to the east coast to see family. Pretty bummed at this turn of events.

Don't worry about it, there will be a complete write up of the event, 8 months after the trip.........;) so you can see what you missed.

I am a 100 series newbie and plan to attend!! I just picked up a stock LX 470. I will be bringing an 8 yr old girl and 5 yr old boy. We plan to stay in our popup trailer. I am looking forward to getting to know new people, new mountains, and my new cruiser :)

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing you there! Where are you staying? I know at least one person is staying at the Box Canyon Lodge. Thank might make a good alternative base for those not camping. PS Good on ya for buying a star! I think next year's trip might be open to Silver Star Members only! :D

Sucks to hear man but totally understand. Thanks for posting that you can't make it . It's good to hear that from people instead of just a no show.

Very Cool! Your kids will LOVE it! Looking forward to it.

I'm thinking maybe we should buy a 100 just to participate! Sounds like fun! Maybe next year....

Thanks much for your support! You and several others are really making it a great event for all! For those attending, there will be some awesome product giveaways from several vendors. I'll go into more details over time but it's really good stuff!

Well, we picked the place almost next door to Box Canyon, we'll stay at the Twin Peaks Lodge. I think it will work out just right and the whole family will be happy! Usually she's a trooper but my wife hasn't had a very pleasant pregnancy start this time around!!!

I'll try to make to the next rising sun meeting so I can meet some of the folks going!

That's perfect! Twin Peaks is a great place as well! Your wife is a trooper for still coming! FWIW, my wife is and RN in LD/NICU and OB. So yours is in good hands. Which reminds me....

Does anyone else have medical training they would like to share with the group? It's foot to know where everyone stands in case if an emergency. I am a certified first responder and have an EMT kit in my truck which is available to anyone. My wife knows her way around infants and basic first aid care.

Jon, a this point my trip is still up in the air... I was planning on coming however with short notice I have a interview/trip out to the Durango area end of this month.. I'm not certain at this point if the Ouray trip will work or not.

If it does I will update when possible. Full Time FF/Medic for years here with a full medical bag always in the back of the cruiser. Id be happy to help with medical care etc... if I am able to make the trip.

That's funny! She's a RN at the ER in Littleton! Plenty experience with traumas and alike!

Trip Preparation/Logistics

What time does everyone plan to arrive at camp and when does everyone typically get out of dodge on Sunday?

We're looking at a 32 hour trek west, and thought we'd throw out the itinerary for anyone interested in meeting up for a caravan...

-Depart Northern VA at 12 Noon on Tuesday
-Arrive in Nashville TN around 10PM on Tuesday

-Depart Nashville TN around 7AM Wednesday
-Arrive in Albuquerque around Midnight on Wednesday

-Depart Albuquerque around 9AM on Thursday
-Arrive in Ouray area late afternoon/Thursday evening

The girls traveling with us really want to find a good spot to do some horseback riding - potentially Thursday afternoon or Friday AM. Any suggestions?

Looking forward to it!

You must have some real troopers in your truck to do Nashville to ABQ in a day. That's a 2-day trip for my family, probably spending the night near OKC.

We will probably be leaving the OKC area Wednesday evening or Thursday morning

Hello,
As I will be departing from Knoxville, there is a pretty decent chance I might try try to link up in Nashville with you. Nashville to ABQ is a pretty long haul, but nothing ventured nothing gained...
Cheers.
Jack

What time does everyone plan to arrive at camp and when does everyone typically get out of dodge on.... Snip

DJW I posted our tentative plans in the southern 100's thread also if you want to check it out. I like the horseback idea. We were going to see about some downtime in ABQ/Santa Fe either before or after the trip. Maybe after if Ouray horseback gets on the radar.

We plan to leave early to mid afternoon on thursday from south of Denver. Google maps shows 5 1/2 hrs drive but I don't know! You guys who have been there can say if that's realistic or not!

5.5-6 Hours from Denver is accurate.

Sounds like a lot of folks are doing Alb to Ouray on Thursday...maybe some of us can meet there and caravan in?

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD, and hopefully approved by the NSA.
