Good evening,

A couple of years ago someone contacted me about the idea of adding 3D printed hinge seals to the Quik Hinge and I can’t find the post/PM back.

Does anyone here have any intel for me to find that back? I have a current customer who might be interested for his hinges.

Maybe BenCC could tackle that although he is just making 100 parts now seems like he has the design process dialed in.
I would add that it would seems something flexible would work better.

Matthew (69LC) tracked me down and asked me to post up the quick hinge seals I built for another member a few years ago. These are still available and I can make more if there is any interest. I charge $34 via paypal because they are kind of a pain to make (free shipping). SMG (member) liked them and could be tracked down to give you his long term review of the product. The pictures posted below are from his FJ40 restoration. His was a pre-1979, mine is an 1982, and they also fit the gozzard tubs. My 40 is in pieces right now so I can't give much of a review, which is why I haven't promoted them. They are flexible, made out of TPU, and can be installed after you install the hinges. You still need to use a sealant / adhesive of some sort to get them to truly seal water out and stick to the body.
