what parts are needed?

I am soon going to get a new printer and scanner and am going to play and learn on some stuff that is needed.

I (my $) am going to get translucent natural (kinda clear) translucent orange and translucent red.

I know there is a license plate light that is needed... And double sided directionals

Just making a list of the things I can try for the 'gang' and anything will probably go free for cost of shipping or anything you wanted to give to the cause

Ideas?

And if anybody has good samples I would like to get a list going ... Will probably not be able to really dedicate any time to it this year... But September I can try things out

Maybe horn button? Early horn buttons in good condition are getting hard to find.

Johnny do you need a lens to work with? I have a FJ25 glass license plate lens and one not the greatest shape red plastic dual turn signal lens.

I will need examples of each thing that is wanted... But... We'll work on a few at a time...

My free time (to play) revolves around how early I get to work and how late I stay

We'll make a list and check off as I can get to each... Probably make several

If and when I have blem items the donaters can get their original returned and a freebie (s) and a blem

If donaters can reinburse shipping that would be greatly appreciated

Our current 3D printer too about a year and a half to get running ... I am hoping this will be much easier LOL

Not sure how many are needing the FJ25 license plate light lens or if anyone else has a good one. My second FJ25 had a very clean housing but cracked lens. My third had a clean housing with no lens. My oldest FJ25 had a bent housing with a good lens, go figure. Willing to ship and will pay shipping both ways with insurance. I know at least one has done one in plastic. Wondering how well it's held up to the heat of the lamp. Was thinking might need to retro fit a LED to keep temperature down. Thoughts?

On the dual sided turn signals I know FJFJFJ's (Dave) got a set of repos for his 62 FHT that is now at the Miller museum. Same with Tom's 62 FST that's been sold and is gone now. How many others got them I'm not sure or if anyone has some that could be used. Not even sure how sets got made just that I didn't get any. Like I said I have one red lens that not sure if the faults could be over come.

I could use two sets of the turn signals and two license plate light lens.

i've got knobs and a "repaired" horn cover. seems all of mine are cracked. a while ago, i was going to find someone to do a bunch of parts, these were on the list, along with fj55 headliner c and d pillar trims, fj55 late model turn signal bases and inspection light plug covers

would like to find someone to do rubber too. want the little booties on the ends of the wiper motors and transfer case diaphrams

Early fuse block cover? There was a brief period where the 5-fuse blocks transitioned from the tin cover to a clear plastic cover similar to the later 6-fuse blocks

My mid '62 is green, but in terrible shape on the people side; I assume due to uv exposure. fjfjfj's resto pictured a green indicator, but I dont remember the estimated build date...

My memory is getting bad. Only two FJ40s I've ever driven regularly is my 68 and 70. Even the two FJ25s I driven was rarely at night. But you jogged my memory enough to remember have a extra FJ25 instrument cluster and think the high bead lens was in pretty good shape which was a good thing because it was a different color. Not even sure where it is currently but know it's not here. Might a early 40 instrument cluster here, maybe. Really need to do something, I die and my wife will throw everything out.

What you need to do to is load up all that rust free crap into a few shipping containers and ship it all to Kentucky where we can enjoy it! That way your wife won't have to mess with it when you pass! Think of all the joy you could spread!

Someone comes up with the right offer and all my earlier cruisers then my 65 FJ45LP-B could be theirs. That would include six vehicles and a ton of parts. That will clear up room to work on my seven other cruisers.
