Here's the way mine sits right now. What do you guys think can I go larger without having to alter anything?

Im a tad jealous of how it is now. 39.5s may barely fit? If you've got big tire buds, see if you can try some on. You also may need some longer shocks.
Good luck

wow, another tall boy. turn your wheels lock to lock, how close to the leaves/frame are you? If you can stuff those I'm sure 40s will fit with minor trimming of the fender. If it were me I'd lower it and roll the 37s.

if the shocks cycle with the suspension now, you're fine.

tire size will never dictate shock length, 28" pizza cutters or 52" Michelins length will stay the same.

I trimmed the valance and fenders when I built my front bumper. I did this so that I could fit a winch and still have a good approach angle. Because of this I've been running 35s with the OME lift and they just barely rub at full stuff up front. In the rear the sidewall just barely rubs on the inner fender.

Is that a SR I see in the front? Or am I just seeing things??:hmm:

Edit: I see now that that is definitely a shackle in the front.... How much of a lift do you have?

I just have the OME heavy 2"-3" lift, or whatever you want to call it. Sway bars removed front and rear. The kit comes complete with limiting shocks (the included shocks limit the down travel...)

I just trimmed my front fenders to fit 43's with my SOA.
I moved my front axle forward a few inches too, so I didn't need to trim the back of the fenders.

Here was the line I followed.

I'm running 12.50 X 15" x 37" Goodyear MTR's, H55, 3.70's

Tire options are getting slim for us running 15" wheels.
Anyone know who else other than Interco making 37 X 15's ?

Try maxxis and Toyo tires.

start cutting boys.:flipoff2:

Sweet rig TheDude, you have a build thread? There's a lot of 80s style monster trucks floating around here. The tough thing about the 60 is the rear doors, if you can move the axle back an inch or two it seams you can clear 37s with just some simple snippage.

The converse is that a lot of people don't want to cut a clean 60 which I endorse, those guys probably aren't going to wheel much anyhow so being tall on the street isn't such a bad thing.

I want to know how many guys get by with stock birfs/axles and 37s? What gears are you running?

"Get by" as in stay light on the skinny pedal and go as slow as possible through the rocks? Yes, I'm doing that. I blew up a bunch of birfields with 35s and 4.11s, but drastically modified my driving style and now I am just fine with 37s.

Sometimes it's more fun to use some skinny pedal, so to do that I'd recommend using poly shafts + longfields.

Stock birfs and 37's are no good even without a locker.

Longs or equivalent are mandatory..

Mine sits low on 37s. Mines sits lower then countless sprung over rigs on 35s. Just thought I would also share
