Here. Now.
Hey guys! Figured I’d hop on here and see if anyone with an 80 was running a 3 inch lift on 35s /315’s. Mine is on a 3inch dobinsons lift and I am looking for the best tire choice. I wonder if I can clear 35s with no rubbing Even when flexed out. Also wanting to stay on the factory tires. I posted on classifieds to see if anyone wanted to sell some 35s so if anyone sees this and is wanting to sell, let me know. Thanks!
Just a little rubbing at full-stuff. No problem.

I want to come out and meet you guys! whens the next event? how can I get in? DUDE I love ur set up. That is what I am shooting for.
Check out the clubhouse section of the forums (the link). Our next event is Meet-n-Greet in March near Uwharrie.

I had a 3.5" lift in the front previously. While only an inch higher than my current setup, it was way too tall and felt tippy offroad.

Dobinsons 2.5" VT-Series Dual Rate Long Travel Kit:

I'm running the 2.5 VT Springs and absolutely love them..

315/75/16 Trail Grapplers

No spacers, Extended brake lines, sway bar drop, read bump drops.

Tucks up perfect, no trimming required. Even with full armor (4xlabs dual swingout w/ tire, sliders, front bumper with 12k winch) she sits just as tall and rides just as nice.

If your tires don't rub, you can fit bigger tires.
Goodyear Duratracs are no longer available in 315/75R16, nor are the MT/Rs. I was going to purchase my 3rd set of Duratracs and had to choose another brand to stay with that size. I went with Toyo AT3s. Certainly not as aggressive a tread pattern as the Duratrac, but a decent all terrain tire.

If you plan to run 315’s, sticking with the stock wheels is a good plan. They are sweet looking and quite tough per my experience. But if you plan to do rock crawling it would be best to get wheels more suited to that because you’ll just beat them up until they have no value to anyone else. Plus the valve stems are subject to damage by rocks due to their location.

Thanks for the info my friend! I am still looking around. Found some 33s that might suit my 80 better. I do moderate off-roading. Nothing serious. Stuff like hurricane creek In my area. Not saying that I won’t get into tougher things I definitely will eventually. But for now my 80 spends a lot of time on the road. 33s might be a better option for now. All depends on what I find.
