Welp, Lexus made me a great offer on my 21 200 series and after 200k miles in 200's, it's time to try the 300. Dealer was pretty amazing and got me across the line as I was far from a motivated seller... Got lucky with a very low mileage CPO that had been the owner of the dealerships... and that 5 year, unlimited mileage warranty mitigates any remaining fear of a new to me system. So far, so good! She'll stack 4500 miles next month going to Colorado, so the next pictures should be a little more inspired.

What did you get for your 200?
75k for the 200, sight unseen and no haggle. They made the offer off of a few photos and a quick chat - could not have been easier. The 200 had 59k miles, BP51's and was clean... I bought this one a few years ago at a dip in the market, so made a couple of $'s. Think I could have gotten a few K more in private sale but was focused on the OTD price.

And how much did you pay for the 300?
700h was listed at 105XXXk with 6k miles. Watched market for awhile and this felt good for the North East. Upgraded stereo, black badges, etc. Was never registered and I couldn't tell it from new... they threw in some solid perks, no hidden fees, etc. It would take a lot to get me to target a "new" car, I struggle with that initial depreciation hit and I'd prefer the unlimited mileage warranty of CPO, given my usage includes a couple cross country trips a year.

That sounds like a really good deal.

I understand. The struggle of finding a brand-new car, negotiation, etc, etc is real. I preferred that route because, in my case, I wanted a 2row (special order) and I am also paranoid about what happens with the car in the first couple thousand miles. Loaners and test cars are usually not treated dearly by dealers, so a $10k savings is really not my cup of tea in view of these risks. That aside, the unlimited mileage warranty is a great perk and should take care of any issues. All in all, IMO you did a good job and got a great deal. Welcome to the club.

Jealous of the 2 row - would have been my preference.

Lots more room for activities and aside from the obvious and massive space upgrade, i think it's just a cleaner build and aesthetic on the 300. The third row shelf is one of the few things that doesnt feel well made. It's only been a few days but this is already the longest I've ever had a 3rd row inside of a Landcruiser :-)

The discount was just enough for the wife (and myself) to tolerate how financially brilliant I was to be replacing a great truck ... and for me to start thinking about an aux tank. I've got dogs inside, a heavy foot and lots of dirt roads so... the wear and tear is coming fast for me one way or another. I appreciate I might be an outlier here.

Throwing some thule bars on tomorrow - Hoping bars work for my needs as otherwise, gonna be a bit more involved to get the pioneer platform up there...

Be well and enjoy!

^ Thule bars fit great... about a 32'' spread, covering the factory pins in the rails with a preference to wider for the roof box or surfboards. Front window tint next week and then 4000 miles to visit the rockies. Will update when the pictures are more worthy :-)
