That's just it.... I pulled a 28 hour day yesterday. Started counting the second store at 4:30 yesterday afternoon and finished at 0700 today.

Tech, we do have some fairly neat iPad mounts we are shipping back to the vendor. Could make a nice mapping addition to a 70 ....

Fit an iPad Air 2?

Any fall off da truck? How do they attach?

I'm doing a WiFi ODBII connection for engine instrumentation, speedo, etc....

PS - Welcome back, Sam!

Not the ones I saw, but we can get them. Can also get the Air 2 cheap (a refurb)

Will probably do one of these, from Ram (a Seattle firm).....

PS - Yes, this is on topics of SE meeting AND tech, since I will need help finding the place...
:)

Hey Larry
The plan is to just find a newer version of what I have. We'll see.
Thanks for asking!
Peter
I hope you at least keep the custom PBR logo's. :)

Based upon the success of this year's event in Cullman, AL, planning has begun for the 2nd Annual get together. The weekend has been locked in (if you H8 it, blame @1978HJ45 and @peterb - I had nothing to do with it ;) ) and will be the 23-25th of September 2016. Based upon feedback for a more diverse selection of trails and terrain, we have selected to use Windrock Park in Oliver Springs, TN as the base area. We will likely utilize a hotel in nearby Oak Ridge, TN as our base of operations.

Between Windrock and two TWRA wildlife management areas (Royal Blue and Sundquist), there are over 300,000 acres open to us to ride with the appropriate permits so we should be able to find something for everyone! These areas are "pay to ride" areas, so there will be some cost.

Preliminary thoughts on a rough schedule center on trail rides on Friday and Saturday with Thursday and Sunday set aside as travel days. Of course there will be the obligatory BS sessions, but we have learned that those need not be scheduled :grinpimp:

We will post to this thread and update this first post with more info as plans firm up, but we wanted to get the date set and notification out so that folks can block their calendars. We would note that the "Southeast" reflects the location of the event .... foreigners (including Yankees over Charles' objections) are surely welcome.

Your unofficial committee,

@1978HJ45 @peterb @elkaholic

Sounds very interesting! I was at GSMTR 2015 and saw the posts on Southeast 70 Series Meet in Cullman. While GSMTR was super fun, the 70 Series event looked like a great event as well. I was thinking of going to GSMTR 2016 - the 25th Anniversary Event. But now my 70 beckons me... So many meets, so little time!

I will be absolutely planning for GSMTR and cautiously eyeing the 70 series meet. Like this year, the 70 series falls very close to our anniversary so the bride claims top honors on the September schedule.
I hope to see you at GSMTR and maybe we will get the opportunity to wheel together in May.

Larry, Just bring your wife with you. Spending a weekend around a bunch of 70 Series Cruisers would be the ultimate anniversary gift. Even better than a new fishing rod or frying pan.

Charles, Being a coward, I try not to joke about what will get me killed or permanently maimed. But feel free. Thanks

excited about this one, did most people camp last year? If i have to come in my corolla and ride shotgun ill make it

Last year most stayed in a hotel. The venue this year is a shorter drive from hotel to riding area, so I will likely stay in a hotel - but that is all subject to change ....
