Did the BOD confirm there are no conflicts with other LC events that weekend?
@beno, I just looked at the TLCA website and it appears we will be OK with respect to overlapping another event ....

Peter and I had talked about doing this for several years and I had a variety of excuses (all legit) that prevented me from following through on my end. In the interest of full disclosure, I was even "luke warm" about last September's event.
As the saying goes, "I have seen the light". I enjoyed .... Really enjoyed, the event and can't wait for the next one.
The term "Land Cruiser community" isn't a cliche and the opportunity to spend a weekend with people who share your enthusiasm for all things "Cruiser" is time well spent. I encourage everyone to clear their calendar, regardless of what type of Cruiser you drive, and plan to attend.

But, but, but.... Peter's selling his 74 :crybaby:

He comin' anyway? I liked that guy!

HMMMMMM.....Peter's selling the rig, Onur's movin to Turkey and Charles is driving a four door..... How the world turns

I hope it all works out for next year :)

As a practiced lawyer, Peter doesn't show his cards early in the game so stayed tuned and to be clear, I still own a two door Cruiser.
As far as Onur goes, I'm sure there is reliable air service between Turkey and Knoxville. I'll gladly pick him up at the airport. :)

OK, thanks for talking me down. I was concerned, afraid other stuff would go sideways- Sam could revert to Jeepin or take up truck pulls as a hobby....

Really don't have much to occupy myself with so this kind of stuff looms large in my social life. Lots of nice guys out East.

Hell, I even got Lois's permission for a three week road trip :)

Keep the faith .....
Our board of directors represent the best of the best and were quick to volunteer once it was established that there would be food and beer available.

Again, thanks for the calming influence of your leadership.

Since this is a tech thread in a tech forum, let me enquire about the specifics of next year's rigs, food and beer. Are you bringing the 75? And are you soliciting atttnedees to bring things? I make a mean macaroni salad and would be happy to bring a Home Depot "Lets do This" bucket full of the stuff, but since I will be driving for a week without refrigeration, will need to get Peter to work up a Hold Harmless form for signature before service/consumption.

Wait, wait......this is a GREAT excuse reason to buy a fridge. Any tech suggestions for OBC (on board cooling)?

ARB, Engel, etc.? Size, mounting?

All things equal, I will most likely bring which ever Cruiser offers the most comfortable seat and most legroom. That criteria alone puts the 75 Series on the "endangered list". :)

My suggestion......

Lets try this again, Charles. I don't want a styrofoam cooler, I want a 12/120 reefer and need your help in coming up with a justification for my wife based upon health issues. It is actually HER macaroni salad that I would bring and she would be embarassed if attendees got sick and/or died as a result.

Remember that we will have a lawyer attending the event that will probably have a pocket full of business cards so you don't won't to take any chances.

The secret there is to get him on retainer before the event.

Back on tech - refrigeration......

What capacity are you looking for?
Don't know. Basically support for event hosting - beverages, food, etc. at offroad gatherings where Terrain Tamer is supporting the attendees. Some camping and supplemental capacity for entertaining at home.

Say "medium"? We are not doing wildlife biological research with samples or drilling arctic ice or permafrost samples :) :)

I see capacities ranging from 11 quarts to 50 quarts.

WTF? I spend 48 hours counting a half million dollars of technology (PCs, etc) and parts and everything goes to hell ...

Peter's selling his rig!?!?

Onur's bailing on us and moving offshore!?!?

Holy chit. To quote a movie - " what in the wild world of sports is a gong on here?"
