Do you know the original market where this truck was sold?
It was originally sold in Bogota, Colombia. The Colombian title states a "date of matriculation" of 12/20/1983 and "date of import" on 4/12/1984. I am not sure what exactly they mean by matriculation. I am guessing the build date.

I've got an FJ40 imported from Venezuela listed as a 1985, but with a build date of "1984". I'll try to add the relevant info here...

The hard thing with these SA models is that they don’t provide a build month. If you could grab the 5 small numbers off the rear driver side of the block that would help narrow down the engine cast date. Thanks
 
sorry for the delayed response, was at east coast gear supply having air lockers and the gears lowered to 4.88’s.

im digging around looking for the right numbers, will post info find it.....
