You have to look at the bright side:
None of us 200 series owners lost any money with this announcement.
Count your equity folks, no depreciation today.
No, you actually saw a ton of depreciation today.

At least it had some fuel in the tank.Busy few weeks
You know, now that you mention it… it does look familiar. @cruiserdan borrowed it recently. Hmmmmm.
If 27mpg is true you may be right. Makes up for all the downsides in my opinion. No, you actually saw a ton of depreciation today.
The newest museum piece?

Once you lift it, new and bigger tires, front/back bumpers, hitch, tent.... down to 17 mpg. Nah, bad still.![]()
The battery should be completely waterproof. Toyota's been doing this a long time. One example I know of they used an electric converted Land Cruiser across 100 miles of water. Under water. Like divers in scuba gear 100 feet under water driving it. No issues with electric drive. I don't think it's a big risk.OK, one last before I leave. I was explaining someone today about the new releaase, actually watching it while she gave me a ride back home as I left my Shelby for a ceramic treatment. I was explaining the new LC250 and when telling her about the hybrid, she asked really good questions... and got me to think: How is Toyota isolating the hybrid batteries in these off road vehicles? What would happen if you have to cross rivers and water and such...? I really want to move into the new technology, I do ! But cannot stop to wonder...
I get it - rear vents are important for rear peopleThank you !
Yeah, basically T4R 4th and 5th gen, or GX / Prado pre gens. I know, maybe stupid for some, but the upper vents for the LC200 2 and 3rd rows, are VERY useful for us. I know, my kids and doggo are spoiled ! LOL
aren't we all - but there's no chance that changes during the current gen SequoiaAt this moment, I would be most interested in a sequoia with an updated cargo area/removable 3rd row.
In all seriousness, the LC 250 seems to have hit the mark esp if they are targeting the Overlanding crew.
6000 lb towing with 27ish MPG for a full-time 4wd system is respectable. The hybrid+off-roading setup produces a respectable amount of torque+capability to get most common folks into trouble esp if they are new to 4x4/overlanding. I wouldn't expect any higher towing numbers because the hybrid setup has an electric motor inline w/ the driveshaft (Ford has an electric motor within the AT...talk about an overly complex headache). The motor's draw will only allow so much torque to be produced for a short period of time...I'm not sure how the system regenerates but that's a question for another time.
The 2400 watt inverter is a very nice touch. For those who need a reference point, you can run a TV, DVD, satellite, fridge, coffee pot, etc. You could also run some smaller AC Units but may need to run a parallel setup (assuming that is possible).
I can understand why the GX went with the V6TT setup. Most of the Lexus owners aren't your Overlanding folks, and their idea of "roughing it" consists of driving to the beach/mtn cabin.
I've seen some good info indicating adequate headroom for those of us that are super tall.
With Toyota recently upscaling and standardizing sunroofs on other models or designing to a 38"-39" headroom figure, I was nervous, but it appears that they've perhaps gone up to 40"+ to accommodate those that are 6'6" tall and more. It's been a long time since I've fit in a Toyota vehicle.
Most recent that I know of is a 2006 Tundra and perhaps I'd swap mine out for this 4Runner+.
Man I got invited to shoot there tonight but couldn't make it work. Wish I could have made it!Great headroom imo. I'm 6'1". Solid 5-6" above my head.

It's late, I'm tired but I love the Land Cruiser community and want to help answer questions. What do you need pics of?
