Has Toyota ever sold an IFS truck in the US with a front locker?

Wasn't available here but the only one I'm aware of was the limited edition LX600 "off road" model specifically for Japan.

Regardless, worst case there will be aftermarket switches for that space for those who install front lockers.

Looks to be an empty space above the parking brake too.

No, not in the US. However Toyota has made IFS front locker vehicles for three decades.

Best Car Web in Japan , normally pretty well connected, issued this curious reflection:

The world premiere of Land Cruiser announced by Toyota in a hurry. The world premiere of "Land Cruiser" will be held at 10:00 am on August 2, 2023.

What is worrisome is that there is no name "Prado". What is going on with this? Will it really become a Land Cruiser 250, or will there be an announcement of a Rankle (FJ)70?

I saw this too. I think the confusion is primarily for markets that have traditionally received both the “Land Cruiser” and “Land Cruiser Prado” - my assumption is the J250 model in those markets will still carry the “Prado” badge when it is released there.

The US is not the first market to lose the standard duty cruiser only to have it replaced by a “Land Cruiser” badged Prado. It has been happening in some European markets throughout the lifespan of the 200 series.

This is from Toyota Japan
Does it look like the same tail light as the US version?

More pis here

Some rumors out of Japan actually claim
The 300 might be discontinued in its home market in favor of the 250.
Not sure how true this is but I guess sales will determine this.
I would imagine the more Conservative LC300 design would attract some folk maybe?
Lets see.
