Too bad you didn't use the Palladium with the new packaging. It gives you 25 extra horsepower, extends the change interval by 30K, and gives you thicker hair.

@cartercd Little known fact that extra HP gain comes from the white packaging, white diffuses air molecules more efficiently, thus reducing friction and rolling resistance. Will def be returning my old school packaging. Thanks for the tip.

Started a new build today.
I think this thing needs some air springs in the back, portals, bead locks, a pair of 20k winches and maybe a Cummings big cam swap. Oh and a couple of Sliders.

Roach Coach on the Rubicon... It'll be a hit!

I was doing some shopping and came across something that made me think of this thread.
see below:

i saw those, gave a brief thought to them, but between the seal being driven that extra 2mm in, the green permatex and the simple fact they didn’t leak in the first place just decided to run with what came in the Joint Fuji kit.
Starting back in on reassembling today. Studs are not here yet, but tracking says today, so starting with the stainless brake lines and calipers in 5 mins!

Hopefully will finish this job, this year! Lol

The Marlin axle seals have had mixed to bad reviews on full time drive trains. They seem to do better on part time trucks.

Was Captain Slow today. I think even James May would have been like “hurry up.”

Started with the brake lines. That was unexpectedly hard, at least on the drivers side frame to axle. (Yet to do the rears).

first I couldn’t get more than an 1/8 turn on the upper because of the tight quarters up there, so I cut off the 12mm end.

which was dumb. Cuz I realized after I was done I could have just cut the soft line and held it in place with the flare and spun it from the other side.

Then I couldn’t get the clip off the upper, and could find the channel locks. Tried all my other pliers, and nothing worked. So went out and bought a new pair. Duh.
Meanwhile, while I kept refilling the brake fluid as more dripped out. It did get low once, and worried it was too low. Will worry about that when I start the bleed.

Then Mr T called and I had to drive to get the new rear caliper bolts from the dealer.

finally got to work on putting it all back together. Finished one side in about 2.5 hours. Lots of cross checking and double checking.

ran out of blue gloves.

Had to grind my lame husky snap ring pliers to fit the new snap ring.

now one piston is a little proud, and can get the inside pad in. But have to call it a day, back at it tomorrow.

happy end of twenty ya’ll

yeesssss!!! Those are awesome. I’m kind of jelly I didn’t paint mine now! I bet blue dissipates heat as fast a set of 3D printed titanium calipers, for 1/49 of the price!!!

They actually pull cold out of hot air and transfer it to the rotors.

I forgot Murphy’s 3rd law of thermotransmogrification. HNY!

LoL.
I did not see this one coming.
Something tells me this is a restart.
I can think of a way to get this spring back on the seal....

it came out with the little paper towel I had in there.
Next time I think I’ll dab it with sticky grease before I install.

Yeah, you'll end up damaging the seal getting it out. Just go get one (maybe 2) from the local dealer. I suppose you could try getting the spring back in there before you do that, if it's not damaged.

Oh, it’ll be damaged. I used permatex on the inner lip.

Woof. Permatex is not a help right now.
what will dissolve that? Heard iso. alcohol?
but how with that get under the seal?

modded the seal puller to prevent damage, which is working....

but that seal is NOT moving a iota!
