After 7 days straight on the trail from the Alvord Desert to the Black Rock Desert to Death Valley we ended up in Vegas for a couple days poolside. GX was to tall to park in valet garage so they parked it on ”the curb” out front of the Venetion.

Gotta love it!
I think I see the Rolls Royce trying to scoot further to it's left to avoid any dust getting on itself! (... along with that black G Wagon on the other end scooting away too!)

That was a H2 on the other side of the Taco.

Added a semi fixed 100 watt solar panel to the mix today. When the RTT is not installed this 100 watt panel will be on the rack. Had to fabricate a few mounting brackets and custom wire harness.

67 Designs makes a universal ball mount/arm for the assist handle for Toyota’s, I thought I’d give it a try for my sPOD control panel. Although I had my own hand fabricated one I wanted to raise the panel a bit higher 3/4-1”. This achieved what I wanted to accomplish but also moves it towards the driver 2” or so. I’ll let this simmer a bit to see if I like it or redesign my original version to accomplish what I wanted.

Spent this morning with Expedition Essentials. They needed a GX 460 for a installation video. I had the bracket on preorder and live close by. Look for there installation video on YouTube soon for the GX460 accessory mounting bracket.

Black, unfortunately since parts came in piece meal over the year. The plan down the road in 3-4 years once the black gets beat up I’ll do a complete color change.
What was the original color that you wanted to go with? The reason I ask is because I also have the Starfire pearl and want to color match my new front bumper. I was wondering if you found a Powder Coat color that was similar during your research.

I like the color of my wheels, a charcoal grey. It is also a color that is available in rattle can at hardware stores.

Glad you went for it. Did you decide on the full hoop?

I decided on the blitz bumper for my needs. But this option looks damn good.
Yes full hoop. Have had way to many close encounters with elk, deer, wild horse, wild burrows, and herds of cattle.

Install video.

I just received and installed the mount. Feels really solid. I went with the B configuration. One thing I did a little differently from the install video was to position and mark the side supports before removing the trim. I think that made it a bit easier since there was less worry about overlapping with the trim pieces.

It's a great piece of gear for sure! Good idea on the trim.

Happy trails and a great long weekend!
BTW, what's the post hammer (on your HighLift) for?
Yeah, I know for pounding posts, but what's in your camp site that needs pounding??
Just curious. 🤔
