2017 what have you done to your 4 x 4 lately?

We haven't started yet but tomorrow morning Jack and I are tearing down his engine, we are doing the head and re-ringing the pistons. pics to follow.

We expect a full report complete with pictures and pre/post compression numbers.

He will have gained at least 10 hp just from the weight reduction of all the oil sludge on the OUTSIDE of the engine. Inside looked pretty good though.

Got the camaro seats in today. First pic is just the beginning of flatenning out the rail, had to really pound it flat to make the seats fit. They are pretty large, and sit a bit higher than the factory seats, but they are really comfortable for my size. The difference is awesome.

@kc_chevota so did you guys pull the pistons out through the bottom and re-ring them ? What rings did you go with ?

Almost none, a couple showed slight silvering on around 10% of the surface. was quite impressed.
