We are committed to come down for the work day on the 11th. Still working on the camping part :)

I think John asked me to buy "the best of" KC BBQ sauces for this event. I can tell you that none are better than Sam's KC style he made, but I can grab some - - not that the pig I have had ever needs any. Can also bring anything else.

Hey folks, had to make an executive decision on this one.... when 2 of your favorite musicians are playing b2b nights in Charleston, you go. So Emma and I are going to be missing this one :(

@Trollhole - are you going to be going to this? If so, I wanted to see if I could find someone to pass along my half doors I seem to never remember to ship to you for rework.

Big News/Cool Thing We're Gonna Do

This year we're going to have a Hi-Lift Jack class on Saturday at roughly 3:30pm (or whenever people are back from the URE workday)!!! A Hi-Lift (or farm jack) is a valuable and versatile piece of recovery equipment that most of us have in or on our vehicles. Even if you don't have one you will eventually cross paths with one being used. This class will teach you how to SAFELY operate this useful but dangerous tool. Izzy (@Izzyandsue) will be our instructor. There is no sign up necessary for this class - just be at the barn at 3:30pm ready to learn.

I have a spare Delco Farm jack. I got it in the Christmas Party last year and ended up getting a HiLift Xtreme weeks later. If anyone in the club wants it, $20 and I'll bring it to the M-n-G. Esle it goes to CL for $40.

Anybody else bringing small kids? Brit is on home call all weekend, so she cant leave the house in case her pager goes off. That also means I have to bring my side kick with me in case she has to go in. It would be my first time in Uwarrie. Just curious how everything is laid out and what bringing her would be like.
I was planning on spending the weekend and working Saturday but now I've got to do a little more planning.

There will be kids in abundance. It seems there's always someone solo with a 2-3 year old. Just keep in mind the pit toilet (no real commodes). There is running water. The barn is plenty large with lots of tables and seats in the event of rain.

Thanks. Not a problem. We've got a few camping trips under our belt so the logistics of a bathroom isn't a problem.

Looks like the weather is going to be perfect for camping. 65-68 in the day and the mid 40s at night.

You'll be fine. Every parent there will treat yours like their own. My kids love the barn more than anything. Mine are 9 and the twins are 7
