PURCHASED A 200 FROM A MUD MEMBER!
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP

Like me, most of you probably spend a few minutes a day/ week searching for a Clean, Southern US, 200 online. I have spent the last few months doing the same after selling my truck in Nov 2016. I thought I could do this myself, but I'm about to give up and am asking for MUD help.

I will share with you my autotrader/cars.com/cargurus/ etc search criteria:
2013-present, <60k miles, in the $45k "area". As we all know, this usually never comes up with any results.
Only when I move it up to $50k, do I find LC's from 50k-100k miles on the clock ALL posted at $49,999 +TT&L
Ideally, I'd like to buy from a MUD member over a dealer, because we know our Cruisers, but it doesn't always work out that way.

I don't mind a road trip, for the right truck. Will send TX brisket as buyers premium (if needed to close the deal)!

Thanks MUD!

Would a 2013 lx w 50k be good for 47ish?
Was it from an online search or is it from a private seller in the valley that you know? I've been racking my brain going over the LC200 vs LX570 debate. I'm leaning towards a LC at this point, but if and when I were to go to a dealer for anything, the Lexus experience is FAR superior.
@John Guedry I know it isnt in the color combo you wanted for the Mrs, but I found this one in ATX in a recent search- $44k at 43k miles. 2013 Lexus LX 570 Base For Sale In Austin | Cars.com

I like the look of the lc over the lx. I think its a more timeless style. This one is at a local dealer by me I was going to go and check it out. But was thinking low 40s.

That seems like a good price if one is looking for an LX. After driving both, I prefer the LC, but if someone wasn't interested in modifying at all and just wanted a nice driver this would be hard to beat.

Not too interested in modifications, wife just wants something bigger w ac in the rear seats for the kids. She has a new 4runner and we love it however it doesn't have good ac in second/third rows n its hot for the kids.

It is a pretty darn good price fr 50,000 miles, 80-90,000 mile LC's models go for around 43,000 and even $40K. Lower mileage like you mention , 47K would be a good price

Collective MUD thoughts on windshield replacement on a used 200? Is it true that "Toyota Certified" requires OEM glass?
I know that several dealers will replace a windshield as part of their "reconditioning" prior to sale. I also know that the 200 has thick OEM glass and aftermarket varieties are usually poor substitutes.

I know of a RHD 2015 GLX Dual cab LC79 V8 in the $35k range.. low mileage, insurance recovery cannot be licensed in Aus or Nz
Would be perfect for expedition, Africa, South America or Middle East.

@rthormahlen First thing I noticed on that truck is the TRD Rock Warrior wheel swap, there is also this one in SA that should have caught your eye: Used Trucks San Antonio | Used Cars For Sale | American Auto Brokers both have about the same mileage at the price point.

@rthormahlen Regarding the SA 2013 that you might have caught also- I shared this with John. I was very seriously considering it. I had a buyers inspection on it a few weeks ago. They have an additional $1k in dealer fees that they don't disclose and are unwilling to reduce/ waive because of the margins on their vehicles. I called them out on it and referenced an AARP article specifically advising seniors to be leery of those sales practices. This is how they attempt to offset costs, I was told. In addition to buying at auction for $X and reselling for $X+markup.
FYI- this buyers inspection info is valued at $109, yours free! Inspection revealed rear door/ side panel respray, fresh engine oil leaking in two spots, and some missing components (headphones/ remote, one side of engine skid plate, etc)
