Put me in the maybe column. Schedule is in flux for lots of different reasons. I'm definitely going to CO late July / early August but can't commit to specific date yet.

I can't do Moab but count us in for Ouray 8/5-8/7 .. Time to gear up! Looking forward to it!

Post #1 updated... please let me know if your status changes or want to be added.

Please add me to the CONFIRMED list for Ouray...

Looking forward to it!

I have updated Post #1 again. Was finishing up the eggnog last night. We will meet evening of Aug 4.

Unfortunately late July is not the nicest weather in Moab, should be around 100.
That's not so bad, could be worse

I'm a maybe, just too early to know my schedule.

I got cabin booked for August.

Booked our cabin the other day as well.

I'm really curious about these "cabins" you guys mention.

Would you mind sharing where they generally are, and how much they rent for?
I hadn't thought of that, and suspect that might convince me wife to come along. Thanks!

What I mean is... Having never been to Ouray...I'm curious what area makes the most sense to stay in. Telluride?

The event is in Ouray so stay there. You'll get to drive to Telluride through blackbear pass if you are "lucky". :)

As long as you are staying in Ouray, you are basically walking distance to anything you'd want to see in town. VRBO is excellent, and there are a few lodges that are nice as well.

Yep what Steen said. Ouray is very small with a few hotels. Others have camped and they have some vrbo listings. You'll definitely want to be in Ouray or at least within 10 miles of town. My wife and kids come and it's important to be within walking distance of the hot springs and park so they can get around while I am out wheeling which is most of the day. The town is literally about a mile long.

Hot Spring Inn- Really one of the nicest, cleanest hotels I've stayed at- and I've been around. Check out their site. The rooms are large- two king beds, right on the river with a balcony.

Last year we stayed at a cabin 3 miles north of Ouray and convenient drive for 7AM gathering. Closer you are to Ouray more time to sleep in. This year we booked cabin 4 miles north of Ouray. Trying out slightly different scenery.

I'll probably stay at the twin peaks lodge again - its nice to have drinks and walk to the room with no worries
