Add me +1 to the list.
Also, I'm planning on overlanding a good portion of the way to Breckenridge via the Enchanted Rockies Trail. I'll probably start where the trail crosses I-40 near Santa Rosa, NM on Saturday July 29. If anyone is interested in coming along, let me know.

Looks like a blast! I'd join you but I'll be towing a small travel trailer--not offroad-worthy like yours.

Unofficial Announcement!

Bonus for attendees- find me at the event for a free full embroidered patch and outdoor rated decal. I'll be handing them out randomly and as asked.

Those look great!!
I shall save a prime location on my drawers for a patch! :hillbilly:

I love the design, Todd. Very cool. Interestingly, everything about the design except "restored" could be said of most of our LCDC group. My truck is actually getting to the point where it needs some restoration...

I will definitely be requesting a sticker to add to my truck.

Thanks Cody- I think it represents well the brand I've just began to build. Good folks at 3 Avertising - specifically Tim who also runs SackWear for the design. I forget his Mud name.

add +2 strong maybe

Ha....since you asked...you can buy a little "side cruiser" (to borrow our hip hop friends slang). Facebook, Instagram, website. All use elite land cruisers name. In all seriousness, just go to the sites and enjoy the pictures and video of some rare and unique land cruiser- vintage and ready for new owners. Just get a bib- you might drool. :)

Thanks for coordinating @codyaustin5 ! Please add mwm4211 + one to the official for-sure list. We have a few kids in diapers and will only be able to come up Sat and possibly Sun. Looking forward to learning and meeting new people.

+1

Booked last month. I will picking up Mrs from Denver airport around 930am on 8/2. That will be five hour + drive from Moab.

Please add me + 1 as a definite YES for this trip! Really looking forward to it!

got you covered!

I can't wait to see all the 200s rolling around Breckenridge.

Also, I have a PSA for the group -- given our size, this event would be a perfect excuse to get your HAM license.

Having reliable, high-quality trail communications makes the trip more enjoyable for everyone. Spotting, arranging photo stops, restroom breaks, simply checking in on "why are we all stopped," and letting the group know if you're running behind will improve the experience. Above all else, it's a safety thing. Ham gets you more range and higher quality transmissions, which can be important in many situations when traveling off-road.

You can get a pretty decent (ex. Baofeng UV-5R, 5W) handheld 2m radio for $30 or a great handheld (ex. Yaesu FT-60, 5W) starting around $175. A full-on mobile transceiver setup (ex. Yaesu FT-8800, 50W) will set you back $500+ but you'll get what you pay for.

Find a place to take the test: Find an Amateur Radio License Exam in Your Area
Practice the exam: Practice Amateur Radio Exams by QRZ.COM
Buy a radio: Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more

At the end of the day, CB will do the job time but I assure you that you'll enjoy the quality and flexibility of amateur radio for trips like this.

This is definitely on my to-do list in time for Breck. Thanks for the recommendations.
