1) This needs bumpination
2) I'm seriously thinking of driving the pickup out for this (it'll be about the time I make my HJ into a big mess of parts...). Were the pics posted/linked to here and on Pirate pretty representative of the roads? My pickup is just boring IFS and stock 31" tires....

the paved road leads you all the way to the trailhead and is in good/excellent shape. the trail itself is pretty mild. i decided to stick with this location because it suits our needs well:
1) easy to get to
2) plenty of room for everybody to camp
3) mild trail, no chance of damage unless you really don't know how to drive.

we are doing all we can i would love to make this our first run in the 45 its a long drive from so calif but we will see how things work out
Coming from Washington 800+ miles and it is well worth the trip. So anyone thinking of making the long haul do it. Just meeting Georg is payment enough...i think
It does indeed. Now I just need to cross my fingers and hope that I can bid for the days off.... If I can--I'm thinking I'll be making the trek from New Mexico. Gonna need "inspiration" for mine about that time.

after reading these post and talkin to D"animal i am really going to push to have the 45 done , as it get closer i will post updates and will be looking for hookups with anyone coming from so calif thanks

things are going well. got the gas tank back and installed new fuel lines and the brakes are working. we went up and down the street yesterday very cool , anyway we still have alot to do but the 45 run is my goal.
I think that mine will be done by then but that is opening day for Dove season. My boys and I have been going hunting for the past 5 years so I guess I will miss it unless we can hunt doves there.

i'm gonna be hitting up a lot of vendors for raffle prizes starting next week.
any help with this would be greatly appreciated! so if you're "in" with a vendor or know somebody who might be able to help us out with the raffle,............

Bring the Boys with you to the 45 run, They will have a great time. If they like to fish, we camp by a stream and there is a lake near by.

The boys and I love to fish, I will talk to them. Maybe we can hunt on the way up there and bring some dinner treats for everyone. Then a little fishing and wheeling, boy that does sound like fun.
